Snacks for chocolate lovers

I love chocolate..my new favorite snack is 14 whole almonds and 1/4 of a hershey's special dark chocolaate bar..Almonds are 80 cals. and the chocolate is 45cals.

For 125 cals. I feel it's worth it and satisfies my chocolate craving.

Any other snack suggestions?

I like the mini Betty Crocker Warm Delights. There are several different chocolate combinations and they are only 150 calories.  Top with a dollop of Cool Whip Lite only adds 20 more.

Well, I have discovered Quaker rice cakes.  They are much more delicious than I had thought.  There are plain, popcorn, white cheddar, caramel corn, and the very best chocolate chip.  This gives you the satifaction of something crunchy, and something really nice & chocolatey.

Deep Chocolate Vitamuffin- 100 calories of deliciousness.

Fiber plus dark chcolate almond bars. 130 calories and SO good. They're similar to Fiber one bars. I also like the weight watchers and skinny cow ice creams.

Mix lots of dark cocoa with plain non-fat/low-fat yogurt and add some splenda....takes like chocolate pudding!  Also good with mashed up banana :)

Sugar Free Chocolate Pudding with 1 cup slightly thawed frozen strawberries on the side for dipping INTO the pudding. Absolutely delectable.

Also, as someone mentioned, the mini Quaker chocolate rice cakes (Quakes I think they're called) are really tasty. They're fluff... Not much nutritional value, but very satisfying and only 60 cals per serving... (If I'm remembering correctly!!)

Black bean brownies!

have you ever tried the no-pudge brownies? they are a pretty good sub for regular brownies only they are fat free.. they are made only with fat free vanilla yogurt. i make this for my FH from time to time and he can't really tell much of a difference.

If you take three tablespoons of dark chocolate chips and melt them into the microwave, then drizzle it over 7 cups of lightly salted oil-popped popcorn it adds up to be 97 calories a cup.  Kind of like a psuedo Moose Munch.  Not a lot of calories and tasty!

If you add 4 mini oreos and break them into quarters into your mix it then is only about 128 calories!  I did a lot of research (and trial and error) to figure out small chocolately snacks!   This one isn't too bad!

I like Zone bars!!

Lots of nutrition and about 210 calories usually does it for me and I am a chocoholic!!!

That Swiss Miss recipe sounds awesome -- I'm going to try that tomorrow night while I watch Desperate Housewives!  Thanks for the tip.

There is a company in Australia that makes top quality chocolate in a way that avoids adding additives, preservatives, dairy, milk powder, emulsifiers, or refined sugar.

Here are the ingredients in the dark mint flavor:

Organic raw cacao butter, Organic raw cacao powder, Organic agave syrup (dark), Organic cacao nibs, Peppermint oil, Himalayan crystal salt

.

The chocolate is raw. It is not heated above 40 degree’s C so the cocoa retains over 4 times the antioxidants that commercially heated chocolates do.

It is basically pure cocoa butter and pure cocoa powder with some added natural flavorings.

So, they take more time and spend more money to produce chocolate so that it does not have to have any cheap additives

Pure chocolate actually taste MUCH better as it does not have anything added to it that takes away from the true flavor of chocolate.

Here is the website http://www.raw-chocolate.net/raw-chocolate.ph p

You can order it online, the flavors are original and you will not find anything like them any where else. This is truly an innovative company.

Also, blending raw cocoa powder, dates, and pecan nuts in a food processor tastes like a rich chocolate brownie, very yummy. Add maple syrup or honey or agave syrup or almond butter for a variation.
