My favourite is a little hummus with lots of different veggie sticks... takes ages to nibble through, very tasty and healthy at the same time.  A 50g blob of hummus is quite a generous amount and only about 100 cals.

I usually eat 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese.  It runs about 80 cals and gives me a good feeling of fullness.  If you need more then add some baby carrots.

whole wheat melba toast with laughing cow wedge of cheese

celery with laughing cow or cottage cheese

hidden valley dip mixes mixed with low fat sour cream (20cals/TBSP) - dip carrots, celery, cucumbers, etc.

yogurt with fruit

yogurt with kashi or fiber 1

banana

boiled egg

cottage cheese with roasted red peppers

A few of my favorites. :)

String Cheese

Non-fat Vanilla Probiotic Yogurt

Special K Strawberry Bars (not super healthy, but gets a decent grade and is 90 calories)

Grapefruit peeled and eaten like an orange

100 percent real fruit popsicles on the weekends (yum! 80 calories and it feels like dessert)

Special K waffle with low sugar strawberry jelly (80 for the waffle and 25 for the tablespoon of jelly)

Cup of organic tomato soup (80 calories)

String cheese

Granola and yogurt

Nuts, raisins, sunflower seeds

Piece of fruit

Hummus and veggies

Remember, portion size matters.

When I come home from the gym I always have a cup of nonfat milk with a little calorie-free sweetner and a drop or two of vanilla extract.  85 calories, really yummy, and fills me up til lunch.

I also like to stick a frozen banana in the blender with a cup of skim milk and a touch of vanilla. Just like a milkshake, but only, like, 160 calories and really filling.

There are sugar-free jello cups with only 10 CALORIES!!! They are amazing and taste fantastic

Fudgesicles no sugar added. Delicious and only 40 calories;

I agree.   Sugar free jello = amazing.  I buy the pre-portioned ones, which have only 10 calories per container and taste great.  Here's my list of my favorite snacks:

  • fresh fruit (pears, apples, grapes, etc)
  • baby carrots or celery dipped in salsa (try to find salsa without added sugar)
  • sugar free jello
  • greek yogurt (the kind i buy has 17 gm of protein for 130 calories!)
  • kashi golean cereal (the regular kind, i pre-portion it before i eat it, i.e. not straight out of the box)
  • cheese sticks
  • apples or pears with peanut butter
  • 1 or 2 hershey's kisses (a treat, but each is about 20 calories!)
  • popcorn (most have 15-20 calories per cup)
  • sugar-free popsicles (look for the ones with only 15 calories!  taste great)
  • sf gum or mints
  • coffee
  • i just discovered swiss miss 25 calorie diet hot chocolate...tastes sooo good and I mix it with black coffee or espresso for a 25 calories morning mocha!  YUM!

Here are 10 of my staples:

1. Fiber One by Yoplait yogurt- 50 cal. and YUMMY

2. Celery and carrot stix- not exciting but, filling

3. Oatmeal (filling and good fiber)

4. An apple cut in pieces, or baked

5. String cheese

6. Go lean cereal- 1 cup dry

7. Grapefruit, canteloupe, melon,

(all low glycemic fruits)

8. Dried fruits (high in calories, though healthy)

9. Cup of green tea (for no calories)

10. Frozen grapes

Like a couple of folks above mentioned, I always keep sugar-free Jell-O cups, sugar-free pudding cups, Special K bars, and no-sugar-added Fudgsicles on hand.  I also have a box of 100-calorie popcorn packets.  And, the hummus with celery sticks is good, too.

i get these egg white salads from trader joes they are 100 calories very addicting i might add and put hot sauce in them .. they are really worth trying if you have a local trader joes... usually by the area with sushi and salads and the flavors are spicy ranchero and chive.. just had one now haha..
