This morning I learned that there is nothing like nearly stepping on a snake to get you running faster. My heartrate is still up thinking about that creepy little bugger.

I thought this thread was going to be about Escape from New York.

My heartrate would be up because I'd be running after the thing, trying to catch it. :'D

skunks are pretty good "sprint-starters" too ; )

Aw come on hes  not that bad.

I was mowing last week and looked down to see a snake curling up toward me.  I instantly stepped back

And accidentally ran over the poor thing.  He lost part of his tail end - mulched.  I had to take a breather from that - it left me feeling really creepy.

Oh, and I came home one day to find a small snake sticking out of a crack in the eave of our two story house.  He kept squirming, and was still there an hour later, so I had to figure out a way to pull the thing out.  Have no idea how he got there - but I was creeped out, thinking snakes could crawl up walls and into my house!

Snakes are bad, bad things.  I have a recurring dream about snakes.  I'll be out in the woods near a creek, or lots of water on an overcast day following heavy rain.  And the snakes will be everywhere.  Not the little critters but the big boa constrictor types.  And I'll always think to myself that those snakes shouldn't be here, they're not native to this country.  and in the dream I am afraid, very afraid.

this thread caught my eye, we had a snake in our foyer Sunday. I totally freaked out. It was small and harmless but still, it was a SNAKE in my HOME!!! Thank God my hubby was there to get it out!!! yuck.

Yes he is.  I wish a snake would eat him.

I don't have to chase them, my cats bring them into the house to play with.  And as gifts.  So far they have been the small green garden snake type, but if they ever bring a big one in I don't know what I will do.

Pick it up and put it back outside? :P

I used to have a cat that brought in live birds and mice. I used to pick them up and put them back outside. Never brought in a snake though... I did have a snake corner my beagle in the yard once. I had to rescue him, snake didn't appreciate me not being afraid of him (he stood up all mighty too, was cute... I mean, scary, yeah scary...) and wiggled off.
