"sneak" workouts!

Quote  |  Reply

Does anyone else do this? I do it at work when the boss is out.  Which is a lot.  I typically do lunges and crunches.  Any suggestions on something thats easy and can be done wo any equipment.

I probably look crazy...I'll be working out and then hear someone coming up the stairs, so I run around to my desk real quick! :)

Isometrics are always good. And you can probably smuggle an exercise band into your desk drawer ;)

eww I bet I can and a jump rope for when the sales people are out of the office too.  Probably twice a week or so.  Get some of my cardio in.

An article in the NYT from last week (I think) discussed a new study showing that 30 minutes, even if it is 10 3-minute ones, achieves CV fitness goals just as well as a 30 minute session. don't know if it works for weight loss, however!

I, for one, couldn't remember to workout for 3 minutes 10x/day, however!!

I used to keep hand weights in my desk and whip them out and do some arm & shoulder work when I could.  And some ankle weights for leg lifts under my desk.  And I also set the reminder on my outlook calendar to go off every hour or two...when it went off I would close my office door and do a few sets crunches or push ups or planks or whatever.

I don't do it anymore, but I never got caught while I was doing it.

alright I brought some hand weights in today, and an ab roller! lets see what I can do today!
