Our first snow arrived... oh, i damn like it!
Its my favourite season...i love my hot mugs of tea, milk, winter nights, its so warm and inward, isn`t it? How do u feel about? whats ur favourite seasonal treats?
God, I hate Florida.
Edit: I hate hot weather and love snow, which I haven't seen in YEARS. People always say I'll get sick of it and feel too cold but, heck, I don't care about the cold! I'll deal! I just want some snow!
We're getting it Friday thank God I'll be on vacation, I have a strange irrational fear of snow (I tend to wreck my cars in it)
I've lived in Louisiana almost my entire life and have never really experienced a "true" winter IMO. I would love, love to see snow!
In any case, I absolutely adore fall and winter! It's finally cooler here (about 80 degrees F lol) and every night so far, I've had a cup of apple spice herbal tea! Sooooo soothing!
I hate snow and cold weather more than I hate haiku poems. I can't wait to never see the change of seasons again. We're supposed to get a very early snow for our region possibly tonight or tomorrow. It will put me in a foul mood.
I don't care for hot drinks. I hate being cold. I hate the grey skies. I hate the wind coming off the lake. I hate shovelling. I hate sliding all over the road when the ice hits. I hate having to manouver around huge piles of snow in the parking lots. I hate the look of the grey sludge all over the sides of the road.
Should I tell you how I really feel?
Its OK:) But Im glad there are some great people loving snowfall:)
I kind of like the snow, but now that it has been snowing for 5 straight days I'm kind of tired of it. My kids are loving it. Took over an hour (usually 15 min.) to get to work this morning with all of the accidents.
I don't blame you, orsibabba. Enjoy!! Obviously, we don't get snow in the San Diego area, but I've lived in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Pennsylvania, and I loved it! Even now, I love it when it's gets colder here, the overcast skies, and the rain. Makes me feel so cozy and comfy. I hate the heat and the sun hurts my eyes. The only reason I'm here is because it's where most of my family is. If I could, I'd live in Oregon or Washington.

Couldn't agree with you more. We got our first dump about a week ago and I have been bitter ever since. Actually, the snow isn't even as bad as the -40C it can sometimes reach here. That's when I truly want to take my life.

I'm with Mooni on this one, and I'll add:
I hate school superintendents who cancel classes just on the mere suspicion that it will snow the next day, and idiots who can't decide whether to drive like freakin' thrill junkie maniacs or blind autophobic tree sloths. The song "Let it Snow" is self centered pablum.
*'Blind Autophobic Tree Sloths' would be a good name for a rock band....*
On the other hand, I do like hot buttered rum, seasonal winter ales, and classic cartoon Christmas specials.

I'm with you moonie! I hate cold wather and I hate snow! It never fails to put me in a foul mood as well! If I could, I'd move to Florida in a heartbeat! If I never put on another winter coat in my life it would be too soon!

The only thing I disagree with here is the hot drinks. I don't think I'd make it through winter if there were no green tea with honey! It may be the only thing in this world that can get me warm once I get cold!! I despise shovelling snow and trying to get out of my driveway even after shovelling! I hate it when my wheels spin when I try to pull out into traffic and I hate it when I lose traction or can't see the road due to ice/snow! I also hate gray snow! Snow is pretty while it's falling but loses its charm immediately after. Here in Maryland we don't get a lot of snow, but we get those horrible ice storms.
Should I tell you how I really feel?
It's kind of cold today (47'F which is cold to me so sue me lol) and all I can think about is that we will be in Key West in exactly three weeks! I want to move to Florida and I want to escape winter permanently!
But without cold/snow no wintersports... dont u like them?

Where in Louisiana? It snowed in Baton Rouge (where I live) last year!!! Like a lot of snow!!! (as in 1-2 inches haha but still!)
And yeah, it's sad we consider 80 degrees cool. But that's just how it is. I remember as a kid getting soooo excited when the temperature in the car would say 32 degrees. That would happen maybe a couple days a year, but it was a big big deal!!!
I'm enjoying the fall season, but I can't wait until the first snowfall!
I love winter (all the seasons to be honest), I'm happy to be living in the New England area :) I actually prefer snow on the ground during the winter, to give it some brightness. The end of fall and the end of winter tend to depress me because all the trees are bare and the skies are gloomy. Very dreary...
Anyways, I love tea, hot chocolate, soup....
...and running around outside like a 5 year old...haha.

The only ones I personally find appealing, like ice skating and hockey, don't have to rely on external temperatures and precipitation.
I live in balmy Los Angeles and, as a consequence, have an overly romanticized and totally unrealistic view of snow. ("Ooooh pretty! Now I don't have to go to work, right?")
From experience, though, I know that I only really enjoy snow for about a week before I'm ready to retire my sweater (yes, singular) for the year. I guess this is partially because the places I've lived all devolve into chaos after the tenth snowflake hits the ground, meaning the rare six inches are far more than enough for civilization come to a complete standstill (i.e. Seattle in December 2008).

^This.
I went skiing once and was never so wet and cold and miserable in my whole life. When I finally made it to the bottom of the mountain I sent my friends back up on the lift and I spent the rest of the day drinking in the lodge along with all the other ski wimps. I went sledding as a kid and had a good time but mostly wanted to go home and get warm.
i love the snow! my birthday is on christmas, i hate when it's a green christmas. in cleveland, ohio, you never know whats up with our weather LOL. i don't mind the cold at all. i love being bundled up and wearing my boots and sitting inside under a blanket by the fireplace watching a movie with chili or hot chocolate =) ahhh winter.. snow is so beautiful =)
I love the winter and fall! No snow here yet, the only reason I dislike snow is because I'm very clumsy.
We have snow on the ground right now, which probably means snow for the next seven months. I'm a skier, so I don't mind winter, but snow in October is ridiculous.
I dream about the day we move to Florida and go to the beach in December! I hate Maryland weather!
