So i drink a diet soda maybe 1-4 times a week, how will that effect me in the long run?  i know its bad from all the artificial flavoring and junk but i havent seen much of a change in my body weightwise and in measurements...

I'm thinking maybe all the acidity will affect your bones/teeth in the long run.  I would just stick to water, even though diet soda is considered calorie-free too.  If you want flavor, just add a little lemon juice.

I don't think 1-4 cans of soda a week will have any long term effects.

Lemon juice is just as acidic as soda.

A couple of diet sodas a week isn't likely to hurt you if you're not allergic to artificial sweeteners (which I'm assuming you're not).  And if it keeps you from drinking regular soda, it's actually helping.
