I'm wondering how much sodium I should be consuming in a day. And how does sodium effect weight loss?

The recommended daily intake for sodium is 2400 mgs per day. That's about a teaspoonful; so don't eat it all at once :)
Most people get far too much sodium because it's in nearly everything, especially processed foods.
Salt causes people to retain water, so when eating anything salty you should be sure to drink lots so that you don't bloat up -- drinking extra water might seem counter-intuitive, but it will help flugh out the extra salt.
Hope that helps!
Thanks elrooto! That does help.
