I have high blood pressure and am finding that most meat substitues are high in sodium. Any suggestions how to get around this problem?

Avoid all packaged, processed foods and ready-meals if you can. They are universally high in salt in order to give them some flavour and a longer shelf-life. The best solution is to make your own foods from fresh ingredients and not to add salt at the table.
Rather than meat substitutes (which are pretty horrible on the whole) try using things like crushed beans or lentils for burgers and sausages and binding the mixture with egg white. Even if you add a pinch of salt when you're cooking it'll be a lot less than you get in a processed food. Best of luck
