somebody took my lunch!?
i went to grab my lunch from the fridge at work earlier, and to my surprise... it was gone!! =O
i'm sure it was an honest mistake, and i'm hoping it's been returned (i haven't gone to check yet). the lunch itself was alright, but i'm more upset over my delicious afternoon snack being gone, lol. "/
anyway, totally random, i know. but i thought i'd share that with ya'll anyway. :)
have a great day!!!
at my last job things went missing out of the fridge all the time. It didn't matter what notes you left on it or if it had your initials...didn't even matter if it was in a nice reusable container.
Then I left a bunch of nasty notes on the fridge basically saying that someone would be steaking out the fridge and watching ppl. It stopped! haha
Seriously, I did put up a stink. I HATE THAT haha. I'm like Ross in Friends on the episode where someone eats a turkey sandwich of his. not pretty!
Awww, that sucks. I hope you have somewhere nearby you can get something healthy! Maybe when someone opens it, they'll realize it wasn't theirs and put it back.
That happened to me once at my old job. We were a business park with NO restaurants (and I didn't have a car since I had walked to work). I was on the verge of attacking people in other departments until one of my staff offered to drive me to the grocery store. :)
LOL!! Next time leave a note in the lunch
"Dear Lunch Napper"
I made sure I put extra mayo and more luncheon meat on the sandwich. That way, as the months go on, I can pin point exactly who is stealing my lunch with the weight gain"
Yours Truely your Lunch Maid,
Nikki
Or you can get real nasty and say that you have the help from the "Lunch Boss" and he will make it so that he never eats another sandwich with a mouth again..but that would be cruel and evil, and people who diet are never cruel and evil..hahah
ahaha! all of your posts are too funny!! i'm thinking it was a mistake - pretty much all of the lunches are in platics bags from the grocery store. so i'm sure somebody just reached in and grabbed what they thought was their lunch without even checking it. when i went to get mine, i was so confused for a few moments. i thought to myself "i did bring it in, didn't i? did i leave it in my bin at my desk? if so, that yogurt is not going to be good anymore, lol." i even walked back to my desk to check the bins - and nothing. not having my lunch wasn't that big of a deal - we had a lunch meeting at work so lunch was provided for free (yess!), so i was able to eat something. i'm just really concerned about (1) getting my tupperware back! and (2) getting my snack back!! i spent 15 minutes preparing it this morning before work, and i've been waiting all day for it to be afternoon snack time, lol. it's nonfat vanilla yogurt with lots of freshly cut strawberries, apples, and grapes!!!
anyway, all throughout my lunch meeting, i kept envisioning different people from my office sitting down and getting all prepared to have a yummy lunch that either they or their spouse prepared for them, and then opening up my lunch and being like WTH?!? and being all confused and worried, lol! but then at the same time, i'd get worried because what if the person that took my lunch didn't prepare his/her own lunch?! then they'd never know that it wasn't theirs! and then i'd never get my snack back!! :(
anyway - i am going to go check the fridge and i'll let ya'll know if i find my snack, haha!! wish me luck. :)
LOL I posted awhile back about someone going into my bag and then into my ziplock bag where I kept my lunchmeat and cheese.. and would steal my slice cheese! How weird is that to do??? After several post-its saying QUIT STEALING MY CHEESE! it stopped. lol
Man, that is just SO rude! I cannot believe someone would be soo incredibly rude and selfish as to steal another person's lunch! Especially the stealers who are repeat offenders. Maybe you could try these.
oh man, singing_girl - those anti-theft lunch bags are the greatest, haha!
whelp, i just thought i'd let ya'll know that my lunch was returned to the refrigerator. :) i'm glad that whoever the offender was realized their innocent mistake and promptly returned my lunch, lol. best of all - i am now enjoying my oh-so-delicious afternoon snack! :D
thanks you guys for your posts - they totally cracked me up!
How about some big, thick, chewy browinies, laced with laxatives in your lunch bag ? The perp would be spending the afternoon in the loo....
I love love LOVE those lunchbags !!!!
Too bad I have my own one-person business, so I have no reason whatsoever to buy them
That sucks! My lunch went went missing at my old job all the time it drove me nuts. But what put me over the edge was I ran a Day Camp and we provided snack every day and lunch on fridays for the kids. I planned, prepared, and budgeted for lunch one friday only to find that half my nicely cut carrots, most of my homemade cookies for desert and 2 whole packs of my whole wheat wraps that were bought for the kid's lunch had vanished when I went to get them on friday. They were marked and clearly for my camp and I was left with not enough food, 46 kids with no lunches and nobody there to supervise so I could go get more cookies carrots and wraps. I freaked and put a lock on the fridge, that was supposed to be only for camp food anyway. I hope loss of fridge privileges was worth a week of stolen lunches. Yeah Im a B!tch!
i hate when this happens. its so rude! i mean come on people, do you really have to steal someone else's lunch? i had my yogurt stolen once and i was P-Oed. big time.
It my job, they throw my food/drinks away all the time. Just happened yesterday. I usually know who did it and usually will confront the person. O, well I was just "cleaning up". My favorite saying....groceries are NOT free. I've been trying to put my name on all items now. I've freaked out to the point that the boss has actually sent another employee out to buy whatever was thrown out. If it is a "healthy" food, they generally know it's mine SO...LEAVE IT ALONE!!
I've got friends whose last names end in vowels that can take care of things like this for you. :D
That happened to me once!! My delicious turkey pot pie was stolen from the freezer at work, and then someone tried to say that I didn't even bring in a dinner that night! I actually brought in pot pies for the whole week and had them marked for each night. With my first and last name in paint pen!! I ranted and raved for about ten minuets before my flight chief got involved and clamed me down. I was a poor A1C at the time and I didn't have any money to go get food, so he lent me 5 dollars to go to the gas station and get some cup o noodles.
Fast forward about 4 years, and its happend again! We have some pregger girls in the shop, and someone stole one of thier dinners last week. OOOHHHH, the nasty emails and notes left on the fridge were icy and brutal!! I mean, come on. We have a 24 hour snack bar were you can do I.O.Us for snacks and food!! Why steal from the pregger lady!
That happened to me at my office and man was I pissed!
The irony is that I had my name written on the bag and there is no one else here by my name!
So now I put my name on each individual item in hopes of one day busting the perp should they chose to do it again, needless to say...they haven't...Sigh..
It would be fun to walk into someone's office eating a yogurt with my name on i tand say OH...Bob....they call you Amy too :)
I have a little story to add. I used to work with a guy who would bring in a 6 pack of Mt. Dew, and would drink one a day. One day one of his Mt. Dew was missing. He took the rest into the bathroom and proceeded to wipe his manly parts on them, and put them back in the fridge. Later on in the shift another one was missing. He got on the intercom and announced to the whole building "To whom ever stole the Mt. Dew from the APG fridge, I just wanted you to know, I wiped them on my manly parts. Have a nice day!"
We were laughing and rolling!!! Needless to say, no one ever messed with his Mt. Dew again!
There's a guy I work with that is CONSTANTLY stealing things that aren't his out of the fridge. I have a stash of little frozen pizzas for the days I forget to bring lunch and last week I forgot my lunch, went to get a pizza and they were all gone. I was livid so I asked around and found out who it was. What kills me is that I've lost an entire loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, my little pizzas, and all kinds of other stuff. Its really very annoying and I've brought it up in conversation. I even said jeez if someone can't afford lunch let me know and I'll pack an extra one but don't be stealin my emergency pizza stash.
