DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH IT UNLESS ITS TO FLUSH IT DOWN THE TOILET.

Call somebody over to watch you if you need to.

You are doing great. All you have to do is get through tonight. You can do it, I know you can. Do whatever you gotta do not to have it. Call someone.

Hang in there, the worst is almost over.   Go for a walk, go to bed and sleep, do what ever you have to say away from that cigarette.  Do yourself a favor and FLUSH IT NOW.

Very soon you are going to feel much better.  I know because last year about this time was was going through what you are now.   My second day was hardest day.  I had to come home early from work so I could go to bed and sleep. It was the only way I could get my mind off smoking.

Hang in there, it really does get better.

good idea about sleeping! I had to do that a couple different days during the beginning of my quit.

haha sleeping is good. its 1am i dont fancy a walk (not round this area) and i dont think people want me to call. Im reading alot at the moment it takes my mind of it. i read a whole 400 page book today

I've got a whole pack just sitting here with your name on them.  Mmmmm, cigarettes.

i got one here and its calling me, its fresh too and dripping with cancer causing goodness :P

Very good!

Another milestone accomplished! Just think of the money you are saving.  I saved enough to pay for my winter holiday cruise ticket. I even had spending money left over.

i booked a holiday in august the money will be good then (vacation for you americans ;))

For me its not about the money, in cambodia a pak is 25 cts... but it was more about being able to get back into sports and not DIE of LUNG CANCER.

Anyway, the first days were ok... just had sorry have a lot of trouble sleeping...

Its all in the head... its all in the head.. the nicotine monster in ur subconcious wants u to smoke a cigarette.. the more u refuse an stand up to him  the more he will become weaker.. and weaker.... and die...

Good luck im on day 8.  my jaw has become very strong from chewing gum

My bf quit smoking and like others mentioned sleeping seemed to help him too (was a smoker since 9yrs old o_O). I also hear oral fixation (putting something to your mouth) is a hard thing too, you'll just have to chew pencils or something ;)

It will get easier, I stopped cold turkey 10 yrs ago. Try  to do something else when you feel like having one. Drink lots of water, get more rest, get some lemon drops it you can get to 5-10 days you will have the worst part done.   Treat your self really good during this time.  Also, change things that you associate with smoking like sitting down and having a coffee in the morning, talking on the phone. It is amazing how much you can get done. It is so worth it. Good luck.
I'm with you im_a_cc.... I am on day 4.. It's getting easier! But I'm becoming a little jerk I think!
