Can someone help me with my foods please??
I've been on here a while now. My ultimate goal is to maintain my weight and to tone up. I'm 5'2 and weigh anywhere from 100-105. I haven't been able to exercise much lately and I've been eating a little more than normal. I just never feel full. I used to eat about 600-800 cals before dinner and for the past 2 weeks i've been about 1000-1200 before dinner. Dinner is around 400 and then I just seem to not be able to say no to something sweet at night. I don't want to seem like I'm whining, I know this is hard. Maybe some suggestions on foods to keep me full longer might help. I'm drinking more water and cutting my diet cokes to 1 a day. Also, I'm a wife and mother of 2 so working out at night is tough, I don't want to interfere with family time at all. I work a full time job, but I sit all day long. Maybe I'm just in a winter rut.
Here's what I've had today so far.
I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight. Last night it was red beans and rice with some sausage. Then I had a fruit salad-i made it using fresh fruit..strawberries, bananas and cantaloupe. Then I had a bowl of kix, oh after dinner we had a piece of cake and i had a chocolate chip cookie. what is wrong with me. I've NEVER eaten like this before. That's a ton of food. I have no idea how many calories I even really need to maintain. I get confused by the meters and all that. Oh and I pretty much hate vegetables, no salads, I will eat the vegetables if they are cooked with something but not raw for sure.

are you near your TOM?? I find I'm ravenous the week before and the week of, I have to be really good so that I don't excessively overeat.
hmm that might be it..it's about a week and half away. Didn't even think about that. I just feel like I'm stuck in a rut! I hate it. I'm always so active and I haven't done ANYTHING lately. Maybe dwelling on it is making it worse.
Where are your veggies missy! You need to eat them! What you just need to do is DOUSE them in olive oil! Olive Oil makes EVERYTHING taste delicious...oh that & garlic!! Plus, both of these ingredients are SUPER healthy!
You also seem to eat a bit too much processed foods and you need more protein, which will totally help with your feeling ravenous!
I also find that it helps to add fiber. It keeps you feeling fuller longer- I like to have a brothy soup for lunch with a green salad and then add a couple tablespoons of beans to the soup to hold me over for longer. For a sweet at night a handful of dried apricots is good or a sugar free pudding.
If its close to your TOM then that could totally be playing into it. Hang in there!
