If you want to talk, message me...my brother is bulemic, I know it's not the same exact thing, but dealing with an eating disorder is very difficult both emotionally and physically.

I should also mention he was anorexic for about 2 years maybe 9ish years ago...the restriction pushed him into bulemia.  He's been dealing with eating disorders for amost a decade now.

ya nething would be great I really dont know wut to do nemore.  I dont wanna die from this but I am being threatened to be hospitalized my veins just stick out everywhere.  My biggest downfall is how do I eat now.  I dont remember even its so confusing

ya I am sorry I am very new to this site and have no idea how to add u as a friend so I cant add u and send u more then 2 messages it says help me out here lol

You're going to need a doctor, therapist, and probably a nutritionist. If you're being threatened to be hospitalized, then I'm assuming you have quite a way to go to get back to a healthy weight. If you don't plan on going IP, you're going to need up your calorie intake. How you do it depends. You can add a couple hundred calories every few days, but try not to drag out the process too long. I also suggest taking a look at the "Weight Gain" forum. If you're looking for support, there are a ton of people on this site who have gone/are going through similar situations. I struggled with anoreixa myself twice, once fairly recently. I was close to being an IP, but managed to show my parents I could do it on my own. I need about 2500 calories to gain weight and repair my body, but since you're a guy you'll need more. 3000 or more... I know the number can be scary at first, but it DOES get better.

Also, you add people by clicking on their name, which takes you to their profile. Once you're there, look above the box that shows their picture (if they have one) and a little information about them (last login, birthdate, gender). It will say on the right "add buddy"

Hang in there--get all the help you can.  I know all about the living alone thing; there's no one to make you accountable, to keep you from being really, really lonely, or to know whether or not you're taking your medicine.  It's a lot of added stress, and at least for me, anxiety.

From a food standpoint, I'd tell you to eat anything and everything that looks remotely good.  You'll need a lot of calories on a regular basis to get back to where you need to be in order to be healthy.

Feel free to message me if you're feeling lonely.  I'm always happy to talk.

Mark, just click on the members avator and it will take you to their profile.  At the top is an add buddy link, just click it and you should be fine.

thanks

thank you and ya I am alright I am doing a little better I am just learning lifes to short to live like this.  I cant count those calories cause I underacheive em on purpose its retarted so I am just going to eat the best way I can and try to make better decisions

Its a pain man, and I hear where your coming from.  Especially being a guy and all.  But this is the best site for support, seriously.  I found this site a little over a month ago when I started the "recovery process", if you will, and this site is what has gotten me through it thus far.

Good luck and from one guy to another, i'm here if you need some advice.

Like osainto said, you are not alone.  It is hard being a guy and admitting that you have an eating disorder, and it is even harder getting through it. But CC and all of us are here to help you out.  I discovered this site in late January and it has helped me gain significantly.  If you need advice, a quick meal plan or any sort of motivation, this site can really help. I'm also here if you need some advice or motivation too. I am no professional, but I'll do what I can.

Hi I am sorry you are struggling. I have been ip many times and 3 of those times I was ip with gentleman. Actually my nutritionist the other day was also telling me how a man she sees who is now doing good struggled with severe anorexia for many years and he was in his 50's but he is well today. Anyhow I understand how this can make a guy feel very alone but really the reasons behind why you do this are the same as why women do it. Whether it be from anxiety/depression,control etc when you work on the reasons and find healthy ways to cope things can get better. Of course the starting point to this is fueling your body and getting to a healthy weight without ed behaviors so that you can work through the mental. I am here too for anyone.
