will someone give me a kick up the backside please?
I'm in the middle of a really tough exam period and so haven't been counting calories as such but I thought I was being careful. I have been running aswell so I have been exercising.
Anyway, I came home and weighed myself and I am back to where I started.
I am due a period, hoping this will count for some.
Ah, I feel defeated lol!
xx
anyone?
You didn't need it, though. Exams are a tough time. While you may eat while you take exams, I tend to forget to eat. I'm sitting down, studying, with a bottle of water at my side. I didn't lose anything during the exam period, but I did gain my first college A (after 3 semesters of all B's, C's, and D's).
Just take care of yourself, and don't beat yourself up. If you gained it all back that fast, then it's water retention or sodium retention. When exams are over, go back to your healthy lifestyle and see how it goes.
:-) We're here for you.
Kick, kick, kick!
It's ok. I just finished a vacation and refuse to weigh myself. I know things took a turn for the worse (can you say 'beer'!), but I'm back on the wagon as of today.
Ups and downs are part of life and weight loss. Do the best you can. When the best isn't good enough, try harder the next day.
Good luck.
congrats on your A!!! I'm still working towards that!
Thank you- I feel really annoyed at myslef but I'm gonna forgive my self now I think and start again
That "time" of the month can add like 5lbs to my weigh ins. If you've been relatively aware of what you've been consuming and also exercising I would try not to panic yet.
Exams are stressful and stress can hinder your results.
But keep an eye on that scale in the next week or so and hopefully it is just some water retention.
Good to see you forgiving yourself and sticking to it though. We can't all be perfect 100% of the time!
Just a pat, rather than a kick. Don't stress out too much. Your body can only handle so much stress at a time. For you, it was exams, not food/exercise. You might be retaining water from TTOM or extra sodium. Relax, breathe a sigh of relief that exams are over, and get back on track this week.
My advice: DON'T weigh yourself for the next week, and make this week a healthy and happy one. Then you can get back on the scale, and I think you'll feel better with the results.
