I swear, everytime I go shopping I want to slam my head into the clothing racks. Multiple times. I can never find ANYTHING. It's like all of a sudden the mall has turned into clothing hell. It's either to plain or too busy, to tight or to baggy, stupid stupid stupid. Zumiez used to be a store I could at least find SOMETHING in. Now its all crazy disgusting multicolored shirts and ridiculously skinny jeans. Old Navy, The Gap, American Eagle, Hollister, are too plain. Wet Seal, is too cheap. Hot Topic, has gone down hill. I don't want to look like a skateboarder, a gangster, a hooker, or a cheerleader. Everything is overpriced. I can't shop online, because I always get it, then it doesn't fit, doesn't look good.

I want clothes. Pin up, red and black and white, polka dot, comfy, happy, clothes.

If someone knows where I can clothes that don't look like a rainbow just had explosive diarrhea on me, that would be great.

Forever21 is always my go to store. Their clothes are reasonably priced while not being cheap like Wet Seal. Their stuff is usually very classy and not too trendy. I've never met a person who isn't fond of the store.

Now Nordstrom, Jcrew, Macys, and Banana Republic are my absolutely to-die-for clothing stores. But I have no money for that.

Delia's, Macy's (a little expensive), H&M (my FAVORITE), Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, anddd that's about it. Everything else is too expensive, too cheap, or too repulsive. Enjoy =]

wally*mart's clothes ROCK!!

just kidding

I don't think American Eagle's items are too plain (but that's just me) I really really love american eagle's jeans.....

I ♥ abercrombie jeans and slacks and shirts and.... EVERYTHING.

why don't you try a department store like Ross or Marshalls??  you can buy designer at reasonable prices AND find variety  :)

I agree that a lot of the clothes are starting to look like they were salvaged from a dumpster.... or like you said 'a rainbow with massive diarrhea. lol

What about a TJ Maxx? They have such a variety.

Someone make me clothes that don't suck.......... except for underwear. Because that would probably feel pretty good.

I'm sorry. Just couldn't resist. Its been a long day!

Back when Hot Topic had good clothes, I was too young to have a job and couldn't afford them.  Now that I've got all this extra money, they've got **** stuff.

Same seems to go with every store.  This is why I've resorted to making my own clothes.

I think so too but EVERYTIME I buy something the fabric is so cheap it is horrible.

Got any consignment shops or hip thrift stores?  Sometimes you can find some really cool stuff there.

pinupgirlclothing.com ?

And hey, I buy clothes at WalMart. :\

This is why I considered making my own clothing, but I can't be assed...(even with having a mom that knows how).

I often go in a store and after a quick walk around, see nothing I like and walk right back out. This is about my favourite time of year to shop, because it's not colourful, frilly, flowery, froo-froo stuff. I basically just browse a ton of stores and maybe find something I like here and there. I mostly go to Suzy Shier, Smart Set, Dynamite, Garage clothing, etc...probably too plain for you though.

Yes that is possibly my favorite site ever. But my god is it pricy.

Honestly? Go to your local Goodwill/Salvation Army, and spend a good two hours shifting through clothes. They have all different kinds of stuff from lots of different eras (people donate older clothes as well as new stuff) and it's all cleaned thoroughly before it's put on the racks.

If that's a little too out there for you, try a store like 'Ross'. I buy 95% of my clothes from my local Ross because they have things in basic colors and patterns that I can match to other pieces I already have. Need a plain black pencil skirt for 10 bucks? Ross'll have it, no doubt.

When in doubt, just shop around until you found a store you like, and continue going back. Most stores get new stuff at least once a week, and stores like Goodwill and Ross and daily putting new store on the racks.

Good luck!

...hey, I would too if they didn't fall apart after the first couple of washings :(

actually.... wal*mart DOES have cute things, but the problem I have with wal*mart clothes (besides poor quality) is that their clothes shrinks in strange ways...

example:  most of the t-shirts shrink vertically  :/    I don't mind when clothes/shirts shrink (as long as it shrinks EVENLY) because normally all ya gotta do it buy a larger size.  but with walmart clothes, the shirt shrinks from top to botton but NOT right to left  :/    so then you're left with a shirt that fits fine at the shoulders/chest area, but then you're stomach's hangin' out :/
buy a bigger size you say??  well... ok, then you end up with the correct length... BUT then the shoulder/chest area's way too baggy :(

I'm a Goodwill gal with a dash of H&M (if I'm feeling "upscale, Ha ha ha!)

Sometimes you can find cute (but decidedly cheap) stuff at Pretty Girl, a chain that has a store in any neighborhood considered "ghetto."

I've never had something I bought from WalMart die after a few washings, or shrink.  Some of my favourite dressy shirts are from WalMart and I bought them about five years ago.

Maybe my WalMarts just don't suck or maybe I know how to wash fabric. ;D

Hm, that is true at times.  Their sweaters tend to itch me into a frenzy and I end up giving it to Saver'

also: you are cute as a button
