someone to talk to

i live here in florida and wish i could find a therapist i have no insurance i am unemplyed because of the economy and i fall through the cracks for anyone to help me sometimes the only way i can get help is if i tryied to committ suicide but i am not that bad and it is scary please help

I understand your situation.  I live in tennessee.  There seems to be no help out here for us unless we have insurance or like you said try to committ suicide.  Have you tried to get on disability.  If you can do this, you then qualify for medacre assistance.  But even that doesn't cover your expenses 100%.  Have you contacted your local national alliance of the mentally ill?  Maybe they can offer some suggestions.  Also is there any local church groups that offer groups for people suffering from emotional illness, of course you have to chose them with a grain of salt.  Some churches tend to think if you get right with God then all your problems will disappear.  Which we know (as a christian) this is not a faith problem it is a illness.  How about any of your local hospitals do they offer out patient treatments based on your income?  We do have one hospital in our area that offers help for bipolar disorder at no charge.  I just remembered that.  Only I don't qualify as I am not bipolar I have severe depression.  Its called treatment resistant depression.  I'm sorry that I didn't offer much if any advice.  I just want you to know that your not alone
