Can someone tell me if I'm a medium or large frame because I'm not sure (pic included)

(sorry, not sure which category to put this in exactly)

So, I know about the frame test and everything and I'm pretty sure I've tried most methods. My wrist is 6.25" and my elbow is 2.5" (according to CC, I'm small frame because my fingers overlap) but I'm pretty sure I'm a large frame because I compared myself with the other girls' shoulders at school and mine are huge like the guys shoulders while theirs are small. Maybe their height might be a factor because they're short but then I know tall girls at school whose shoulders are small like them as well.  But my sister is a small frame and her shoulders are an inch smaller than mine, her hip bones about 2-3 inches smaller and her ribcage as well so I think I might be medium.  She's also 5'8".

But then I asked my friend what frame she thought I was and she said large but the thing is, she has small shoulders but her wrist is exactly the same as mine (she's 5'7"). So I'm worried that maybe when everyone looks at me, they think my bones are insanely large despite my measurements which say I have a medium frame. Do I look that terrible and wide? I feel as if other people are making snide comments when I say I've lost weight or want to lose more. Like telling me "Don't get anorexic now. It's just how you are."

I feel like they treat me like a monster and they just won't say it up front. Or I look insanely weird.

I know I'm a somewhat mesomorph body type and that it really can't be helped that I won't look as delicate, etc. But it makes me feel angry at how I look and so unfeminine. Especially seeing as I want to wear skinny jeans and all those nice clothes like everyone else. It's so embarrassing and I just want to hide because I feel like other girls and guys look at me with disgust. I'm sure my hands and head are the same size as most guys. I feel like everyone says look at her huge bones because no other girls at school look like me even at my height.  If I tried to dress nicely like the other girls, I would look chunky and body builder huge, especially my calves. I want to wear high waisted skinny jeans and pencil skirts and be Vogue fashionable too but not look stupid doing it or chunky waisted or like a transvestite.

It's rather confusing because I don't know what to believe. My mirror in my room makes me look nice and thin but then I look chunky in the one in my sister's room.  I want to believe I look nice and normal and that I can look good too but then what if I look worse than I think and that everyone sees it but me?

I'm still going to lose weight by doing Pilates which worked miracles for me in grade 7. If it helps:

My measurements:

shoulders : around 15-16 3/4" wide, hips: 39.5" around (my hip bones kinda stick out on the side but flabby butt and legs),

waist: 29" around but still flabby, neck: 13", face: 4.5" wide, calves: 16" (I hate them and I'll tone them down)

I'm 5'11" by the way and I weigh around 154-160. I know I sound crazy but I just have to know if it's really all in my head or if people seriously see my body that way. My friend and I are planning a makeover for new years' so I have at least two months to improve but I don't want the mood to be spoiled if everything looks like crap on me.  Or if I get to school and everyone thinks I look "butch" with all my muscles. Is there hope because it's seriously depressing and I don't want to live if this is what I'll be waking up to for the rest of my life. What's the point? I want to be a fashion designer and I want to accept myself before I go into an industry where I'll be surrounded by thin people that will make me depressed. I'm also 17 and am worried my bones will get larger.

sorry for the long rant and here's my pic (nevermind the expression on my face ):

i would say medium/large frame only because my shoulders are like yours, my collar bones are pretty pronounced and my ribcage is wide.. just like you. oh and my fingers also kinda overlap on my wrist, but i'm pretty sure i'm not a small frame because i always look thinner than what i really weigh, and that usually happens when you're large framed. anyways, you look great! enjoy having big bones.. that means you carry your weight better :) i think you should just focus on toning up instead of losing weight.. but go for a lean toning because having an athletic built means you'll probably bulk up quicker than other girls and i don't think you want that. pilates will be perfect for you. and don't worry about feeling weird around others, there are so many people who will KILL for a built like yours!

I would say medium frame.

I'd say medium, too. You look perfect to me, and I agree with the toning rather than losing, inches rather than pounds thing.

Definitely not large frame! I would say, from the picture, medium, maybe small.

You look amazing, by the way. Don't worry too much about your shoulders; they look great. I highly doubt anyone is looking at your faults. Remember this Isaac Mizhari quote: "No one is looking at your imperfections; they're all too busy worrying about their own." Confidence is beauty! Also, strong hands are really cool :D No one will think you're butch if you have some muscle. You should be really proud to have it. I recently saw a picture of Heidi Klum, showing off some pretty serious muscle (I though anyway). And it looked amazing! Muscle > skinny fat.

I really understand wanting to be able to fit into certain types of clothes, I'm the same way. However, there are some things you may never be able to pull off. For instance, I can never wear super-fitted clothes; they're just not flattering on me. Find what you look knock-out in, and then make it your own style!

In response to the mirror: I have the same problem. Focus only on the mirror in your room, and avoid the one in your sister's.

Lastly, I saw from another post you made that your goal was 110-120. Do NOT loose that much weight! You look sooo good right now. If you want to lose weight, then definitely no more than 10-20. The lowest weight that would look healthy is problem 130-135.

Good luck in the fashion industry, by the way! The models won't get to you if you don't worry about it. You look just as good (and much healthier) as them.

If you were 5'7" I would say you were a medium frame -- at 5'11" I think small frame is probably correct.

You are a beautiful young lady, with a figure most would killfor... You shouldn't worry about losing too much more weight -- you may wish to firm up with some strength training, if you feel you are flabby.

Wow, you look amazing. I love your arms and shoulders! You have that toned look that women kill themselves exercizing to get. Your friend probably just said "large" because of your height, I would definitely say small.

I'm 6" and large frame. You're small frame.  Maybe medium.  It's hard to tell from a photo.

You are very tall and thin... but your shoulders and hips stick out quite a long way for your size, which says to me that you have a large frame. Just looking at your photo you don't need to lose an ounce or you're going to look scrawny.

You look super great!  I think I'd say medium frame, too.  Really, you may think your shoulders are wide, but they look normal to me.  Remember, each person is always their own worst critic.

I feel the same way about myself; I am overweight but I also have these horrible broad shoulders and this big barrel ribcage that I know won't go away when I lose weight... My wrists are 6 1/4 inches too!  I'm 5'10" so I'm a little shorter than you.  My fingers also overlap but "small framed" is a total laugh.

OMG!

You are definitely NOT Large framed.  You have a beautiful figure, I'd focus on toning but you already look quite fit!!!

I'd go with medium too - seriously, you have a great figure!!! Your stomach is so flat, I'm absolutely jealous!! You look great, you don't have a thing to worry about :)

You have a cute figure!!  Don't worry about losing.  Just tone up just a tiny bit if you don't like your tummy (but it's NOT fat from what we can see in the picture).  If you lost any weight, you'd lose those beautiful curves!    And to answer your question, you look like a medium frame.

Looking at your photo, I think you're just right !

So don't worry too much about it (:

I'd say medium frame. You have an absolutely beautiful body. You have a beautiful hourglass shape. Your shoulders and hips are not all that wide.

Many tall girls get caught up in thinking they're huge when in fact they are only tall. Your weight is a healthy weight for a girl of your height. You may want to tone, but I don't think you need to lose weight. If you were going to want to be a fashion model, the powers that be would want you to lose 30-40 pounds and you'd look like a skeleton.

I'm 5'9" and have a medium frame. My goal weight is 155. I look fantastic at 155. I can get to 145 and not look too skinny, but it is too hard to maintain.

You don't need to worry about your makeover. Just about any style is going to look fabulous on your body.

But is it okay to do Pilates many times a week or should I do less as well because of my body type? Or will it just make me get lean muscle faster?

well heck if you think you're overweight, what does that make the rest of us? lol you have a very nice body no lie. don't worry one bit you look very pretty.

You are gorgeous and have a great body. Don't worry about what your friend says. She's prolly just jealous. I'd kill to have your body!
