Weight Loss
Moderators: duke3522, devilish_patsy, topanga1485, nycgirl, spoiled_candy, cmillington, coach_k Someone tell me what's going on!
I've been working out religously... 5 days a week of cardio, for at LEAST 30 minutes at a time... usually 45 though, and I'm also doing a very light weight exercise... and then of course I'm using CC. Okay.... so I started January 14th... and have been taking in the recommended calories, and I really don't even know how much I've actually lost. One day it says I'm down 5, the next it says I gained one.... I know I'm probably not drinking as much water as I should, but does that really make a difference?? Because even when I do drink lots of water it's all screwy! It's really frustrating! :( Someone give me some words of encouragement, please!!! :)

Drink lots of water and keep trying to up the amount you exercise a day (water is important for the body, it acts to move things around in your body... no water = things get harder, dont worry about water weight).
Ignore the scale for a while (a few weeks) and just focus on not eating too much or skipping workouts. If you arent cheating and do the exercise, you should notice a huge improvement in a few weeks.
In terms of diets... eating the minimum (staying balanced in terms of macronutrients, and taking micronutrients to stay healthy) and exercising with lots of cardio is THE BEST possible way to lose weight and tone the body. Unless you are already in perfect shape, that type of activity will show results... there is no way to avoid it (unless you are overeating).

It's normal for your weight to fluctuate. Watch the green trend line on your weight chart for a true picture of your progress over time. The acutual number on the scale isn't that important, just the downward trend. Try weighing once a week instead of every day, and learn how to ignore those little ups and downs and focus on the big picture.
Thanks! I really like this website because there's a whole supportive community... it's like weightwatchers... but free! :)
Also, I am curious to know what the green line and blue line on the weightloss chart represent? Could you maybe expand more one that? Or Anyone, for that matter? Thanks! :)
The blue line represents your weight, and the green line stands for the "Trend" of your weight. But I don't know how the "Trend" works. could anyone explain that?
