Ok, i think there is something wrong with my scale! I'll way my self in the morning and then ill way myself at night and it says i gained a pound, but there is no way i eat enough to gain one pound during the day. Does this happen to anyone else? Also ill wake up the next morning and way a pound less again?? Anyone else have this problem?

It's not a scale defect ... this happens to everyone. Mine'll vary as much as 5 pounds on one day. It's the addition of what you eat, plus water weight added due to sodium in thsoe foods.
It's not all just food, need to take a few things into consideration.
1) First one being sodium levels, you can retain lots of water day to day
2) has your body had enough time to digest food as much as possible (i.e. how close did you eat to bed time. Same say it's fable, but I like to eat at least 3 hours before bed, because you're more active when awake which burns more calories. Seems logical to me)
There's some other things to take into consideration, but those are the biggies.

Oh time out, scratch all that. I thought you meant day to day. During the day you will gain weight from gravatational pull, and also just because your body hasn't had enough time to digest. It's the same with your height though, you're taller in the morning than you are at night soley because of gravity and hunching over.
Hope that actually helps lol
Take care.

readnchick is right...your scale will vary from morning to night. That is why you should weigh one time in a day. You don't have to weigh yourself everyday but on the days you do weigh in the morning before you have anything to eat or drink.
I totally agree with the others, I have also noticed sometimes I will
weigh myself before I go to bed, and then when I wake up in the
morning, sometimes there will be no change, then some days it can
fluctuate as high as six pounds!
I hate scales, but can't live without one!

wow six pounds! I never knew anyones weight could fluctuate that much over night.
I think most of it is water retention. During the day, if we drink coffee and eat sodium we will retain water.
i ran into this problem this week...... i was eating on average about 1200 calories a day -and i was gaining weight. Doing the math, it was a medical impossibility, as i wasnt eating enough to maintain my weight, let alone gain it.
But then i remembered i was taking ibuprophen for 3 days. lol.....
so i am careful now to drink enough water, and stay away from sodium and other diruetics so i wont retain water. Being constipated also will retain weight.

You'll drive yourself batty weighing in twice a day :) So, my advice, DON'T! Weigh yourself twice a week and do so first thing in the morning.. that should give you a real sense if you're losing weight consistantly or not :) Also, don't forget about how your clothes fit. If they are starting to feel loose in areas or overall, then you're losing the inches, don't worry about the lbs so much especially if you workout w/ weights, boxing or other muscle building activities.
