sometimes it's yours and you just don't know it...

Since January I have had a trip planned to run about in the fun Florida sun which meant fitness boot camp if I wanted to pull off that bikini! I had gained about 5-6 pounds over the holidays that needed to come off! Which did fairly easily mostly through diet changes like cutting down on the beer and fast food. I had a goal to get down 128 from 140 and for the past year or so I just haven'tbeen able to get my weight down past 135 and each time I reached 135 I seemed to gain back that five pounds by the next month, very frustrating. I have always been one to work out but I stepped that up big time. I purchased a few of the new firm videos and they are amazing! I have never sweat so much in my life! I love them. Got back into yoga, it's been years since it has been a solid part of my workout routine. I cant remember the last time I went on a taco bell run, it used to be an almost weekly thing for me. And for drinking, used to be almost every weekendI'd go out or stay in with friends and drink way to much. Now I may have a beer when I go out. I also stopped munching on the animal crackers that stare at me all day at work!   Well, I had made all these positive changes in my diet and exercise and got down to that 135 mark that is my hurdle number and have stayed there for the past month. I know it's not about numbers but this is just that plateau I cannot break past, I had actually resigned to that fact that maybe this is just where I was meantto be and found myself content with it. Figured I have noticed big changes in my muscle tone and that was good enough. Well I stepped on the scale yesterday and to my surprise it read at 130, 5 pounds down, 2 pounds away from my march 25th goal. It was shocking and I was jumping for joy. So I just had to share because I have been working very very hard for this and was about to give up on my "magic" number, and probably still should, but I am so proud of myself. Maybe also it will motivate someone else who is frustrated by the scale, it took a whole month for the scale to budge and when it did it was a whole 5 pounds. Take heart and keep it up! I am definitely wearing my bikini proudly!

awwwww how great!

go you!

what are these videos called now?

Thank you =D.

The Firm. The one in particular that I am obsessed with is called the 500 calorie burn, it is so much fun. I bought it at best buy. The first time I tried it I thought I may die lol, and just completing the video was good enough for me even though I couldn't keep up. I've been doing it 1-2x a week since the middle of February and now I can easily keep up with the girls in the video (for the most part). What I love about it most is that it built my strength and stamina up sooo quickly. It's interval training, cardio for 5, weights and lunges etc for 5. SO much fun. I bought another because I loved this one so much and don't want to over do it and hurt myself. This one came with this latex band thingy but I think it bothers my knees and I just don't enjoy it as much. I think I paid $14.99 for each, not too much and definitely worth it!

GOOD JOB!!! sometimes when you calm down, ignore the numbers and just stick with the plan you get a very pleasant surprise! congrats again!!! You can totally make those last two lbs!!!

Awesome looks like you will be funnin' and sunnin' in the Sunshine State of Florida. You should be patting yourself on the back.

That's fantastic, but I must admit, I am sooooooooo jealous!!! 135 is my hurdle number, too,  I've been stuck here since mid-february.  Grrrrr.

But, anyway, great job... enjoy flaunting your skinny self in a bikini in the sunshine-- you so deserve it!  :)
