hi....

sometimes i wake up in the morning, i feel hungry, and even after i eat breakfast, i am still hungry...

but some days, i wake up i am fine, and i  eat breakfast just because i have to, and i am not hungry after i eat it.. also i continue the day like this...not hungry...and if i saw something i usually crave, in that day , i don't....? i'd like to have days like these always!!!!!

what do these things depend on?? maybe what i eat the day before? or the mood?(my mood is always the same) ...

any idea?

how many calories do you usually get in a day? are you trying to lose weight or maintain it?
Hungry =/= appetite.

You might not be hungry after all but just have apetite for a special kind of food. Most likely something bad ;) -Or your body needs something special, is missing some vitamins, protein, fat or carbs or minerals. Hunger is allways a sign from your body that he is missing something, not neccessarly calories at all.

Try drinking a glass of water if you think you're hungry, sometimes you're just thirsty! Do you drink enough water? At least 2-3 litres a day are a must.
i eat 1000 to 1300 daily and do aerobics for an hour. im trying to lose weight...

i eat from all the 5 groups of food... carb,fat,....etc ...and i try to drink water as much as  i can... maybe 1.5 litre or more
You've probably trained your body to not be hungry.

To eat as little as you eat (and that's too little, btw, you should be eating at LEAST 1200 calories a day without your doctor's OK), you ignore your impulses to eat. DO that enough and your brain creates a pattern.

That's why you're not hungry. You've tricked your brain into ignoring your impulses to eat.
ahh!! you need at least 1200 cals a day, plus what you burn during exercise!

Eat more food : ).  You're not hungry because your body is getting 'used' to less food, which is bad.
but i am not saying i am always not hungry... just some days..

love, i have that to!  sometimes i have days when i'm starving in the morning (like today) but normally i'm just not hungry when i wake up?!!  i dont' think its something you can really control - make sure you are eating enough otherwise this will stall any weightloss and could damage your metobolism but also, listen to your body - if you aren't hungry first thing, wait an hour and then have something....  dont' beat yourself up as your body will tell you what it needs and when it needs it!  as long as you are regularly eating though..
It depends.  Sometimes I'm just not hungry, too.  It could be related to stress or hormones (TOM).  If I have a really intense workout, I'm usually starving the next day.
I find that when I have coffee in the morning, I don't really get hungry until lunch.  No coffee, and I'm eating 400 calories at breakfast because I feel starving.

That's the equation for me personally.

There are some days, on rare occation when I lose my appetite all day, usually it's because of depression though, not from what or when I eat.
If I have something sweet (lots of carbs) I get hungry, no matter how much I eat.  If I have protein, I stay full.  So, I mix protein with almost everything I eat, and rarely get hungry.  I also eat often to keep from ever getting hungry.  Also, dehydration can make you FEEL hungry - so if you're working out be sure to drink MORE water.
I think it has something to do with your metabolism slowing down. I notice on days that I eat a good breakfast, I am hungry throughout the day every few hours or so, so I think I am burning calories. But some days if Im busy and I just have coffee or something I dont get hungry and I could go all day. Thats when I believe my body is in that starvation mode and says "ok fine dont feed me, Iwont burn either!" I dont know that this is scientific, just my experience. You should probably eat a little something  on a regular schedule, hungry or not to lose, although eventually I would like to become a person who really just listens to my body eats when Im hungry and stops when Im not and maintains a healthy weight naturally like kids.

yeah, on that sentence "ok fine dont feed me, Iwont burn either!"

what happens to the body if i don't eat for few hours?

well a few hours is ok - they suggest that you eat every 3-4 hours i think so don't think of it in that much detail!!
well, if i stay more than 4 or 5 hours without eating??

i have a similar issue. im weaning myself off of starbucks, mainly because its taking a toll on my wallet, but i have noticed a pattern with myself and a lot of ppl i know. when i drink coffee all day, i barely feel hungry if at all. if i dont drink coffee my daily eating habit is normal. (3 portioned meals and some snacks) but i think a lot of it has to do with what's in my coffee, and bc its hot. if u use milk, ur taking in protein, no its not the best way but if u sip on it all day, ur constantly putting it in ur body and keeping it semi-full. also moving all the time. i recently started doing a new thing. i discovered i was watching more TV so im also weaning myself from that but now when commercials come on i do squats, push ups and crunches on the floor until the show comes back on. i dont get out of breath bc im only doing it a few times an hour, but im doing as much as i would normally but over the course of the day so i dont dread doing it. plus its fun when u have kids! my son joins me so im also helping him to keep healthy.

Good luck all!
