Sometimes I have to laugh
I never thought:
1. I would be sitting online ordering muffins (vitamuffins) and get excited when the UPS guy shows up
2.I prefer grocery shopping for myself, as opposed to letting my parents do it, and I go alone because reading all the labels takes so long everyone else gets frustrated
3. I get so cold sitting at the computer that there is now a space heater sitting on the desk next to the moniter
4. I would be buying workout shorts in the little girl's department to save $$. (hey theres no difference besides that!) lol
What have you all done that makes you laugh to yourself?
Wow, your before and after pictures are amazing. I can't wait to have those!
I never...
1.would have thought I my most visited site would be a calorie counting one!
2.would have thought that I would enjoy not-eating greasy food (it makes you feel so much better!)
3.would have thought that my favorite food would be chicken and green beans!
4.would have thought that I would be helping my 150 lb boyfriend make healthier choices!
I'll think of more later!

i just happened to see your before and after pics... jesus hell what a difference... my god... way to go.
No Kidding!! Awesome Job geminik88!!! ![]()
1.) I just got a new one today. I was SO P.O'ed that my mom wouldn't order excersize tapes for me! (it's EXTREMELY difficult to get to my gym with my work schedule) jeez, mom.
2.) that I would ever watch my sodium intake .. my food used to HAVE to have that 1-inch white layer before I could eat it.
3.) That I actually don't like to eat junk food.. (NOT INCLUDING SWEETS
) But greasy foods don't appeal to me.
4.) I notice how crappy I feel If I don't get enough fruit and veg in one day.
edit: one more!
I put my fist next to my food and use it as a judgement of how big a serving size is when I don't have the neccassary tools.. My fist fits perfectly into a 1cup measure!! lol
People can never get enough positive affirmations, so I am going to chime in too with the praise... Way to go! Had I not seen your before's, I would have thought you'd always been so fit!
OK, so I never thought I would:
1. spend money on a scale as a "treat" to myself!
2. want to spend my sacred free time (I'm a mom of a 2 y/o) on an elliptical!
3. reward myself with anything other than food or sweets! Now it's a new sports bra, comfy jogging socks, new water bottle!
4. be happy about sharing the food off of my own plate (especially dessert), which used to have imaginary barbed wire fencing and blood thirsty dogs guarding it (mooching toddler=less calories consumed).
5. lose the taste for french fries and fast food (m-m-m-m-m, I'm <NOT> lovin' it)!
Geminik88... I must agree with the others... wow... good job. Not just good looking, but FIT LOOKING ...
I never thought I would....
- spend my spare change on a heart monitor
- spend free time on a stair climbing machine (I live in a 2 story condo)
- try to get my dog to run with me
- be proud of making a soup with only 60 calories per serving. (broccoli)
- try to spend MORE time on my feet
i know it's been said tons, but i can't NOT tell you how amazing your before and after pictures are. you look smokin' hot. way to go! that is all.

Amazing how you have reduced weight so much... U look hooooooott.. :)
Laughing at myself for
1) Knowing so much about Calories and healthy food that I can give a lecture to my friends to the point of boredom.
2) Saying no to food
3) Going to a food festival with friends and not eating anything there
4) Eating salad. I used to call it cattle-food before.
In fact, I am not actually laughing, I think I am actually proud... :)
I never thought I would:
- pass up Cold Stone (ice cream) for Golden Spoon (frozen yogurt) any day of the week.
-be looking forward to summer
-be disgusted by even the smell of fast food
-LOVE working out
Wow! Great job honey. You look fantastic.
My biggest Ah-Ha! moment was after I lost lots of weight and I got in the car. It was just getting really warm and I was wearing flip flops and I realized I couldn't reach the pedals well. I thought it was the shoes, but after a few minutes it occurred to me that my rear was SO much smaller that I had to sit a couple notches closer to the steering wheel to reach!
2. Would feel sick if I ate junk food
3. Would decline dessert because I genuinely didn't want any
4. Would feel comfortable with my body.
I never thought I would:
1. feel completely upset because I've been really sick and didn't get to do any good cardio for a whole week
2. go months without french fries
3. eat vegetables
4. get really excited about going to the grocery store
-Feel amazing after a cardio workout--my mom had told me about getting a "runner's high", but I always thought it was bunk, and just associated cardio = agony.
-be EXCITED about going on a hike on Easter Sunday. Thinking of it as a FUN outing, not punishment or something to be dreaded.
Seriously, these are two big ones for me. When I was in high school I was totally inactive. They did a poll in my class and I was one of like 2 people who did absolutely no physical activity. When I was a kid my parents used to punish me and my brother by making us exercise (e.g., taking long, arduous hikes, running in circles around the house... I'm not kidding. In a way, they were smart, because we didn't move much otherwise...) Anyway, liking physical activity is something I never envisioned for myself. But now it makes me feel great! (usually. sometimes it just exhausts me.)
Is my sodium intake too low?
You have nothing to worry about because sodium deficiency is extremely rare. In fact, there is not even an recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA... Read more
