My son made it, he's here!!

Xavier just got done eating so I have a brief moment . 

 
Xavier wasn't ready but showed times of coming on several occasions. We were turned away twice at the hospital. On the final day (the final one I could stand) I phoned in to set up and induction. I was contracting at the time and was told YET AGAIN to make the trip down to labor and delivery. Well, we didn't go, at least not then. I was at work, taking my mind off my swollen belly for a while when the contractions really started feeling stronger. I wrapped things up and left work by 3:45, home by 4. Xavier Cane was born at 5:37pm, so yes, not much later. It was an "almost backseat delivery" for my DH, who proudly drove us to Halifax Medical Center in a record five minutes (during Bike Week at that, wow!). I was at 8 centimeters upon arrival and out he came in 3-4 pushes. The boys (my other sons) were at the hospital within the hour to meet the little guy. Xavier Cane Gold weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 ounces and measured in at 20 1/2 inches all at 5:37pm on March 2, 2009!!!
 
Anyhow, much more to come when time allows. Much love to all of you and thank you for the best wishes. I'm doing absolutely great, a drug free - fast delivery makes for a quick recovery.
