Sometimes when I'm not in the mood to go workout, I put on "Beat It" by Michael Jackson (haha) and it helps me get motivated to go to the gym. Does anyone else do this? If so, what song?

Just about anything by Ani DiFranco can get me fired up and motivated.  She's got plenty to choose from.  But lately I love her albums Educated Guess, and Evolve.

That would either be "Surrender," covered by Less Than Jake, or "The Struggle," by Lucky Boy's Confusion.

I don't have a song that gets me to the gym but if I am not working out that hard I switch my ipod to anything by Blink 182 and that usually gets me going. I don't know why though, I am not that much of a fan of them.

oooh, it's either Joan Jett's 'Cherry Bomb' or hmm.. .that's hard, anything on my Ipod gets me in the mood to kick my butt into gear

Settlin by Sugarland. I am not settlin anymore. ;-)

2 Songs come to mind at the moment as they not only inspire me to go workout but when I am working out they inspire me to push harder!

I'm Alive by Disturbed

Chorus: the thing I treasure most in life cannot be taken away, there will never be a reason why I will surrender to your advice to change myself I'd rather die...

Unbound by Avenged Sevenfold

Chorus: This ride that takes me through life, leads me into darkness but emerges into light, no one can ever hold me down, I'll stay unbound

Basically they both invoke a sense of control and self worth in me. Those songs remind me that this is my life, it is what I make it. So, why not get my ass off the seat/couch/ground and stay fit like I want to be.

"Waking Up" by Milow or "I Don't Care" by Apocalyptica   :D

"I'm Fat" by Wierd Al comes to mind LOL--- but once there or if I'm walking I like "Walking in LA" by missing Persons and Temples of Syrinx by Rush to get me going hard!!

This isn't exactly a song, but I've been trying to learn welsh, and I have a set of mp3 lessons on my ipod.  My "deal" with myself is that I can only play them at the gym, so if I want to learn the language, I have to work out, and that's pretty motivating :)

Penny on the Train Track by Ben Kweller

Great beat, perfect for inspiration and a perfect pace for running to when I actually get to the gym. :)

"Animals" by Nickelback.  Great, great beat.  I wish I could fill an hour on my ipod with music that is just as great.

OOH. Animals is a brilliant one, skinny_kitty. I'm not a huge Nickelback fan but the beat gets me on that one.

Honestly, there's so many, I'll list a few:

Blood Sugar - Pendulum
Rush - Poisonblack
LAI LAI HEI - Ensiferum
Shut Me Up / Bring the Pain / Bite Your Rhymes - Mindless Self Indulgence (Okay, so pretty much ANY MSI will get me working, but those three particularly)
Spitfire - Prodigy
Fly - Blind Guardian
Battle Metal / Sahti-Waari - Turisas

 ... and, ahem, Sandstorm - Da Rude. <__<;

I like music. Hurhur.

I listen to fast-beat songs that i can dance dance crazy (i'm weird like that) to; cuz if i work out, it wont seem too bad if I listen to what i somewhat dance to.

It's Not My Time - 3 Doors Down, Boom Boom - Bam Cham ft. Rhianna, Tainted Love(techno remix) - Depeche Mode, All Around Me - Flyleaf, I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry, Coming Undone - Korn, Last Resort - Papa Roach, The Anthem - Pitbull Ft. Lil John, Please Don't Stop the Music & Distubia - Rhianna, If You're Going Through Hell - Rodney Atkins, Send Me an Angel - Thrice, Headstrong and Stand Up - Trapt, and a few others in different languages.

THat's a lot but then again, I really mix music up with work. Makes it much faster, more enjoyable and easier to forget you're working out.

"Hell Yeah" by Rev Theory.  Makes me feel like a kickass woman.  :D

Say Anything-"Little Girls"

Pixies-"Debaser"

Mickey Avalon- just about anything

Great effin' song. I also like Romeo and Get Me Off by them, as well.

My song is "Just Like You Imagined" by Nine Inch Nails. When my legs feel full of lactic acid and my lungs are screaming, I can full-out sprint to this song every time. Perfect closing song for me.

Goddess: Aaaah, I love that song. Even if it makes me think of the 300 trailer...

Haha, yeah. I've always liked the song and don't like that it's associated with 300 now, but I eventually got over it. :P

A little embarrassing, but the dance mix to "I Drove All Night" by Celine Dion.  It was in the Pontiac commercials several years back.  Great beat.

I also have several Sugarland songs on my MP3 player.  "Take Me As I Am" is a good one from the new album.

Aerosmith, Jon Melloncamp, Hank Williams, Jr....anything to put me in a good mood
