What is "Your" song with your significant other?

What do you and your partner consider "your song"?  What would you choose as your song today?

Mine is "Love Me Tomorrow" by Chicago.  I don't know why we chose that one, I don't really like Chicago. 

"Could I have this Dance" by Anne Murray.

We use to do this as a duet at  karaoke.  In 2000 we were doing this on stage and he proposed during the instrumental break.  It was funny, half our friends were OMG!  the other half were WTF?

Since then, that has been our song.   He will actually insist on dancing when its played - generally have to drag him on the floor these days (where did my dirty dancing hotbody go? lol)

 

Ours is "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. Suuuch an amazing song. And if you've never heard it before, don't judge because it's Metallica. It's actually really slow and the lyrics are great.

Make a Memory is actually kind of a sad song...It's about losing the spark in the relationship and hints at infidelity but "he" wants to forget that and go back to the way things used to be.

I absolutely love Bon Jovi but there are very few songs that are strict love songs and not "I/we messed up but I swear I'll do better" type songs. If you want a true BJ love song try You Had Me From Hello.

As for me, My boyfriend and I have always thought of Staplegunned by The Spill Canvas as our song since the very beginning. It fits us to a T. For our wedding song, I strongly favor I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie but I don't know if I could do that. It's a little too "scene" lol.

Not very good words but ours is Guns N Roses - November Rain. 

Never my sort of band until my OH came along, I loved the music, the power behind it, so now it's our song that shows that we can overcome differences and that even if we don't agree on something at first then it's worth giving it a shot. 

We're having the instrumental version played when we sign the register at our wedding next year.  Our first dance is probably going to be to Take That - Rule the world, hate the band, love the lyrics, so that will probably become our song too.

LOL!!!! My SO plays this song and sings it all the time.. He's like this is our wedding song hahahahahaha...

But in all seriousness when we first started dating he use to sing "Hey the Delilah" --before it got popular.. now it's annoying.

At our wedding reception we played "The Best of Me" (Barry Manilow) and "I See Your Smile" (Gloria Estefan).   And we always had a healthy appreciation for "Paradise by the Dashboard Light."

The first two still apply now, and we still rock "Dashboard" if we happen to be on a dance floor when it's played.  I can't really think of anything more recent to replace them that would accurately reflect us.

My current fiance and I don't have a set song but Journey - Don't Stop Believin' has a very very deep meaning to us so I kind of just made it our song.

We don't have an 'official' song but I have the best memories of just laying and talking while this song is on.

My boyfriend and my song would have to be "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain. He would sing it to me all the time. :)

Also, Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. Both the songs aren't our style, but both of our music choices differ so much.

'our song' is a gram parsons' song, a song for you, but at our wedding we danced to whiskeytown's cover of that song.  my husband loved the song, and i love just about anything ryan adams sings.

as for now, he usually pulls me close when two by ryan adams and the cardinals comes on.

and i second the suggestion of death cab's i will follow you into the dark. it seems a bit dark for a wedding, but the meaning is there.
