SOO Frustrated!!

Quote  |  Reply

Okay, this might just be a rant, but I am soooooo close to my goal weight. (which is 125)

My scale at home, yesterday, put me at 131.0. ( in the nude, in the morning )
Today, after breakfast, and a GLASS OF WATER, in shoes, and clothes, the scale at the gym said i was 127.5.

THIS IS A BIG DIFFERENCE TO ME.
Ugh.

Sorry, but would that not frustrate you?

I seem to weigh something different on every scale.  I'd say pick one to go by.  I'm almost 5 lbs lighter on my cheapy home scale than i am on my gym scale.

That is so weird.  I'm heavier on my cheapy home scale.

And  i dont really think it works..... step on it once and it says you're 134
step on it 30 seconds later and you're 126.

You might want to buy a new scale.  Especially if it's changing the weight on you like that.  Scales lose their ability to keep accurate weight.  And some scales are off from the beginning.  Good luck!

Your weight fluctuates.. it's normal..
weighing yourself so often isn't.

I don't care for a number.

Don't worry about the actual reading on the scale. You have to use the same scale and weight yourself at the same time everyday. The number is just a reference point the real important number which is the difference between the starting point and the end point. If you are really worried about the accuracy of your scale take a 10 pound weight and weight yourself with and without it. If the difference is 10 pounds then the scale is accurate. You will also find that once you get to your goal weight you will fluxuate +/-3 pounds.

Remember don't sweat the little stuff...

My BF's scale always puts me 3-6 pounds lighter than mine. I like his better, but I am not allowed to use the weighins I get from it because then I get disappointed when I am back home.

Use the same scale - like Einstein said, it's all relative.

I don't think it really matters that they're PRECISE. But, if you really want to test out which scale is correct, take a weight-- one where you know exactly how much it weighs, and put it on the scale. This way you can test if the scale is accurate.
Definately need to stay on one scale!
stay on one scale. the digital scale weigh less than the scale with the lever you push across at the gym. When i went to curves, they always told us that their scale always weighed three pounds heavier. which was true because i was always 3pounds heavier on their scale then i was on my scale no matter what i weighed.
