Too much too soon?
Ok I started at 207lbs. (im 5'3" 25yo female goal 1250-1350cals)
In the first 3 weeks I only lost 1.5lbs total. I would go to the gym 5 days a week cardio and weights, eat 5 meals a day and would range 1300-1400cals, slightly above what i wanted.
I was getting discoraged because it seemed like nothing was working and i was off to a slow start. Today i woke up, weighed in and I lost 4lbs this week!!
I use a digital scale for exact measurments. Im very excited about the weight loss but is this too much too soon?
I gained over 160lbs with my pregnancy and I have streach marks head to toe (thighs, calves, arms, belly, breats) every where. I want to lose weight slowly so I do not have sagging skin.
Am i losing weight too quikly that this is likly to happen? Is it normal with diet and exercise to lose this much?
Good Luck!
Congratulations on the weight loss so far! I'm not sure about the rate at which your losing, but one thing you might want to consider to help you from here on out is increasing your calorie intake! According to the BMR calculator (http://www.phord.com/cc/), your BMR is 1656, and you should never eat less than your BMR. Even though you're loosing weight now, in the future you might stall out if you're not giving your body what it needs. I am of similar age and height for you and started out eating 1200-1350 calories because that's what CC told me to do to reach my goal weight. Bu then after reading some forums, I realized that CC doesn't take into account your BMR when they give you a goal for your caloric intake, so I have upped mine to 1450 (my BMR) and have seen positive results! Good luck!
I don't think you need to worry. I agree with the other person that the first few weeks your body might have been holding onto the weight, that you finally had that big 4 pound a week loss when your body finally let them go. It is totally fine, I think the sagging skin, or when it gets unhealthy is when people are crash dieting...doing unhealthy things to make the weight gain fast and it is consistent every week. At first, when you have more weight to lose, you generally will lose it faster, but it will start slowing down to 2 pounds a week. Just celebrate the four pounds! Plus with sagging skin too...you have age on your side. In addition, strength training really helps in toning and tightening:) Make sure you are drinking lots of water too.
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
