SOOO happy this is here!
so i've been coming on CC for several years off and on and i never knew there was a parents forum! wow guess i should pay more attention! lol![]()
anyways...i'm so happy lol! i used to go on babycrowd.com all the time and had a ton of ladies i talked to on there...well they changed the site around, tons of popups and really messed up the site. so everyone quit going on and then i lost all of my "friends". then in january i decided to get rid of this weight once and for all and started coming back to CC to talk about weight loss. but alot of the time i can only find posts from college students or body builder men, ect....people i have nothing in common with.
so hopefully i can find people to talk to in this forum that i have something in common with!
here is a little bit about me
i'm 25 yrs old. married for 6 1/2 have yrs. i have 3 kids, 4 1/2 yr girl Emma, 3 1/2 yr gir Graciel, and a 18month old boy Cole. oh and my newest baby, a 4 month old bullmastiff puppy, Miley! right now i'm a full time stay at home mom but hopefully i'll be able to find a part time job soon.
i am also 5'8", SW 250, CW 242.5, GW 150!
so if anyone would like to chat about kids, marriage, weight loss, exercise, anything please just reply back!
Glad you found this little corner of CC! Welcome! There are some fantastic women here with tons of advice to offer!
Sounds like we have a lot in common!
I, too, have a 4.5 year old named Emma (named after her great-grandmother) and an almost 5-month-old son, John. I'm 26 and married as well. I have a pug named Gizmo. I'm a full-time working mom but wish I could be at home with my kids :)
Congrats on your weight loss so far!
Hi, Glad you found this site too. I am only 5,3 and right now at 38 weeks pregnant ( due on March 18) weigh 148.6. I want to weigh 125-130 when i loose all my pregnancy weight.
I need some ideas for boys names, so far it's Ashley or Elizabeth for a girl.
Any way congratulations on your weight lose so far.
luvmyboy, out of curiosity, are you choosing to be surprised by the sex or were you not able to find out? My sister-in-law has chosen to be surprised.
I love the name Henry. It's my son's middle name (if he weren't named after someone, it may have been his first name!). I tend to like classic names but have some unusual ones that I like. Jack or Jackson, Micha, Eli, Aiden, Max, Colin...(I could go on...). I like the combined name Ashley Elizabeth. It rolls right off the tongue :)
Hi Bier,
Yes, i am choosing not to find out..i really wanted to know at first but my husband didn't and some secrets are hard to keep. I really like the name Max and i thought that my husband did too but at the last minute he changed his mind. So far the only boys name we agree on is Jordan, which could be a girls name too.
I don't love the name Jordan but i guess we will go back to the drawing board, i like Colin and i like Jack but we already have a Jack in the family.
I really like the name Ashley Elizabeth too so thanks. i just think it will be a boy but you never know. As long as it is healthy.
Anyways, have a great day...where do you live? i am in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
(sorry, 2babettermom, for hijacking your topic!)
I had a gut feeling on what the sex of both my children would be. Both times, my instincts were correct (probably dumb luck).
I live in Kansas City. Woohoo!
that's okay we can talk baby names lol
my little boy is cole edward.
other names i really like are kaleb, levi, logan, clayton, wyatt, jacob, gage, and hunter....
i could probably think of more if you want ![]()
oh and that's really cool about being suprised! i never could have done it lol would have made me crazy! but i'm a BIG planner and control freak! with my oldest they couldn't tell what she was when i went in for my regular ultrasound so i basicly whined at my doctor until he gave me another quick scan in his office to tell me what she was lol with my little boy i had an ultrasound at 10 1/2 weeks to find out how far along i was and even then i was saying if she thought she saw any boy parts let me know lol
I'm totally a control freak, too! I HAD to know the sex of both kids because I had to be able to prepare. I can't imagine wanting to only get gender-neutral things.
As a matter of fact, I am such a control freak that I rearrange the dishwasher when my husband loads it, switch the direction of toilet paper if it's the "wrong" way and rehang clothes that are "backwards". Yeesh! I sound obsessive-compulsive. :)
I like the name Cole Edward...Edward is my husband's and father's middle name. My cousins named their son Robert which I like but wouldn't name my own child (they call him Robbie). I just read that rapper M.I.A. (the one who performed at the Grammy's on her due date) named her son Ickett. All I can think of is a fence. ![]()
2babettermom - I've talked to you before...I think when I posted about calories a stay at home mom burns? not sure - anyways! I'm 25, married for almost 3 years, and have 2 babies - Broderick (Brody) Isaiah is 5 months & Chloe Shea is 22 months. They are my angels! My last day of work is today so I'll be a stay at home mom from now on (hopefully). ![]()
luvmyboy: We were having a hard time figuring out a boy name too! My hubby wanted Roddick (after Andy Roddick - big tennis fan) and I was like honey...that's not even a name so I thought of names that had the same feel and we decided upon Broderick which we both fell in love with. We call him Brody and Chloe calls him Body.
yeah edward is my dad's middle name so that's where we got it. cole actually came from cole younger lol you know, jesse james cousin? we watched a movie about the james younger game and i actually fell in love with the name cole lol
emma we picked out of a baby name book...and then i was so mad when it suddenly because SO popular and now there are five million other 4 yr old emmas
the marie part was after my grandma and my mil, marie is both of their middle names.
gracie had a reason behind it lol i found out i was pregnant with gracie when emma was only 3 months old. i was, well lets say, not exactly overly thrilled to be pregnant again so soon! so i thought, grace is a gift from God that we might not always ask for, or even know we needed, but we do always need it and we always love it once it's been given to us...so there was gracie
her middle name is lillyanne which is my great grandma's name and my husband great grandma's name...i know! what are the chances?
bier-i do all of thoughs things and so many more lol i don't even have a dish washer but i still have an exact order that i load the sink and wash the dishes in and then they all have there own assigned spot in the dish rack to dry lol truely i am crazy! the list could go on and on!
Where can I see 1/8th or 1/6th of a pie or angel food cake?
This is the best way to picture a portion of pie or cake: Draw a circle to represent the circumference of the cake or pie (9" pie? 10" cake?... Read more
