Here is my all time favorite recipie

http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=7947.0

I fed it to my omni boyfriend and he loved it.  Though I substituted real cow montery jack cheese for the cheese in the recipie.  But you don't have to do that.  It is good either way.

Vegetarian lasagna is really good as well.
wow!!!  thanks for the quick reply. i cant wait to check these 2 out

p.s  have you tried any of the tvp meat subs crumbles in any recipes?  if so - how'd that go over?

My fiance loves the Yves faux ribs- he was hugely carnivorous before we moved in together. I can't have a lot of the 'meat' crumbles because they contain gluten but Trader Joe's makes stuffed poblano peppers that have soy crumbles and they are soooooo good.

The Gardenburger Riblets are pretty amazing...I like to chop them up and make a hearty chili with them...Add beans, chopped tomatoes, onions, peppers, spices...anything you'd like to throw in there.

Stuffed sweet bell peppers made with rice/couscous and Veggie burger crumbles or Gimme Lean Veggie sausage crumbles are really good!

Yves also makes faux pepperoni which you can use to top a pizza or add spice to a grilled sandwich or pasta dish.

Veggie burgers and dogs and "Sloppy Joes" made with veg crumbles and 'Manwich' sauce are pretty good in a bun with some seasoned potato wedges and barbeque sauce on the side.

Stir fries made with the Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chick'n Strips over rice...Those are also amazing in burritos with black beans, avocado and salsa...or for making fake Chick'n Ceasar salads (as long as you can find a vegan Ceasar dressing without anchovies) SO yummy!

Good luck!

^^The gardenburger ones are the ones I meant! He especially likes those because you can put them on a roll (no bones!) and eat them as a sandwich.
If you want to use soy crubles then try this recipie:

Best meat loaf I have ever had, requires some work but it is worth it.  And it is vegan, the best part.

In case you haven't figured it out already, I don't really eat processed food that you can buy, like Lightlife, Boca, whatnot becuase they are too expensive, and I enjoy cooking.  But everybody had their own thing.  I have a whole bunch of recipie I could share.
Here are some of my favorite recipes:
Breakfast: Oatmeal Batter for pancakes, waffles or crepes 2 cups dry oats, 1/4 to 1/2 cup raisens (depends on how sweet you want them), 1/3 cup almonds or walnuts or both, then about 2 cups soymilk (or milk) and about a 1 1/2 cups water mix it in your blender and you've got yourself a batter.
If you decide to make pancakes i recommend making them somewhat thin, they taste better that way =]. I usually eyeball everything so you might want to adjust your measurements. I usually can get about 10 pancakes from this. Keep in mind since your using oats, the oats will soak up some of the liquid so you can add more water or soy as you go. I prefer to serve the waffles or pancakes with fresh fruit and jam instead of dosing it with syrup. Its a very hearty breakfast and tastes great even when leftover and cold (I had some last night =] ).

Snack: fruit, rice cakes, veggies with dip, handful of trail mix, or baked sweet potato chips/veggie chips

Lunch or dinner: Pesto Burger! mmmm sooo good1 boca burger, 1 bun, 1 tsp pesto, a few slices of tomato
What I do is I heat up the burger and the way I do that is I simply throw it right into the toaster lol. I leave it in there for a while bc I like it a little crunchy. They I get a bun, but my favorite is some French Bread (it really makes the difference) and I toast that sucker. Then just throw on the tomato, smear the pesto and you've got yourself a deeeelish sandwich. On the side you could have a spnich salad or even as the main course. When I prepare spinache salad I always incorporate fruit (apples, pears and mango always taste great together). I simply take a bag of baby spinache, toss in fruit, and some cheese ( I like blue). Then I mix it together and let it get a little soggy from the fruit juices and it's awesome.

Other great veggie alternatives for dinner could be be sauteed veggies on rice noodles (asain style), or a eggplant parm, a grilled garden salad (zuchini, asparagus, onion, etc). For desert fresh fruit is always a good pick.
Hope this helps! Take care!

i started this way with my boyfriend and brother, and now they both voluntarily choose the veggie options!

vegetable lasagne i think is an all time favorite... even meat eaters like this.

and i think the "fake" meat products are fantastic... i use everything out there almost and most meat eaters i know have noticed that if your not just sitting there eating it plain, but it's mixed in and covered in whatever else you'd be eating it with it does the trick just fine!

i use the morningstar grillers crumbles to make vegetarian chili, burritos, add to tomato sauce, make a vegetarian "hamburger helper meal"... anything you'd use ground meat!  i use the chicken strips in burritos, salads, and when i'm stir frying veggies and noodles.  my boyfriend DEVOURS the morning star veggie hot dogs (i tried other brands i just don't like them).  i like the gardenburger riblets, and the boca chicken patties and nuggets. ah and he's also completely hooked on the morningstar sausage patties... i like to put them on a bagel with cheese and  heat it up for a quick breakfast!

i know that's alot of "processed" foods, i'm trying to pull myself away from those foods right now (it gets expensive too), but if your feeding people who eat meat it might be a really good way to start! just keep in mind everyones tastes are different, i don't like quorn products at all but i know other people love them, try different brands and styles, i'm sure you'll find something you all love.
