Sorry People but another question about burned vs intake...
Okay, my question is this. I have always had my burn activity at Lightly Active and then all I add is my exercise. I am a stay at home mom and I am definately not Sedentary. I clean and chase a toddler all day but I am worried that my burn may be estimated at more than what it really is? Also when I exercise...I really exercise. I run 3 times a week and walk along with strength training 2x a week. Is everything calculated right? Cause most of the time if I eat my BMR I have like a 700-1000 calorie deficit. I guess I need either confirmation or someone to tell me that it's wrong. LOL. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
From everything I've learned, it sounds like you're doing it right. The only thing you might want to consider is keeping your deficit at no more than 800 calories. How is your weight-loss going? That's usually a good judge.
Yeah, so far so good. That's why I was asking because some days I have to eat a couple hundred calories just so my deficit isn't too high. And if the calulations weren't right then I would be eating for no reason. But I am still managing to lose weight so I guess everything is right. I just needed some outside reassurance, I guess. Thank you.
You're welcome! I've posted the same kind of question more than once before...it's always nice just to hear, "yeah, you've got it right!" ![]()
OK from what I have read they say it ok to have a higher deficit as long as it does not go over 1000 then you are in starvation mode. 500 deficit x 7= 3500 its take 3500 to lose a pound. now my deficit was anywhere from 800 to 1000 and i lost 4 lbs last week and I ate what my bmr said to I am also a sahm so i have mine set at light also. I work out 3 times a week and do weights 3 times a week. it took me a minute to understand it all myself. I know everyone is different
