Recipe Ingredients for Sorullitos de maiz sin queso

1 1/4 cup Corn Meal,fine
2 cups of water
1 teaspoon of salt

Recipe Directions for Sorullitos de maiz sin queso

  1. 1- In a saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil.

  2. 2- Remove from heat.

  3. 3- Add the corn meal and stir well.

  4. 4- Add the grated cheese and mix again.

  5. 5- Let this cool for approximately 20-30 minutes.

  6. 6- Once cool, use a spoon and place 3 - 4 Tablespoons of the mixture into the palm of your hand, and form a stick 3 - 4 inches long- similar to a short cigar.

  7. 7- Repeat until you have used up the mixture.

  8. 8- Fry several at a time in hot vegetable oil until golden brown.

  9. 9- Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

  10. 7-Serve hot.
