Yep, losing 1-2 pounds a week is great isn't it?
When you're left with 7 pounds to lose, and think ''wow, even if lose 2 pounds i'd feel great! ill still have 5 more to lose! if I can lose 2 pounds then of course i can lose some more'' but you can surely gain it back!
Sp the next thing you know, you get over 1200-1300 cals.
How is it possible to lose fat, how is it even possible to eat exactly those amount of calories without going over it, dont you still get hungry? I see women/men losing ALL this fat and gaining ALL this muscle, and feel great, but HOW? What is the secret?
I need to start believing that losing those pounds is real and not just a dream!

If it was easy, this site probably wouldn't exist and we'd all have perfect bodies.
The way I try to avoid hunger pangs is to fill up on low calorie stuff - like fruit and veggies. I always take a bag of veggies to munch on at work, so that I can walk by the inevitable muffins or cookies more easily.

when you are close to your goal, a 1/2 lb is a lot! don't get discouraged.
I have realized that if I honestly want to get back to- and stay at the weight I was 3 years ago, before I turned 40, then I have to limit my calorie intake drastically (1300 - 1500) per day to maintain my weight. Any deviation from that for more than 2 days and the pounds will pack on.
Me too. I just re-did my burn meter and found out I need to take in 1700 calories or less to continue to lose (I had my calorie limit set at 1870). Bummer. This whole over-40 slow metabolism thing really sucks. I love to work out but my body doesn't recover like it used to when I was in my 20s.
Oh well, at least I know and now don't have an excuse.
