sources of good fats?

Quote  |  Reply

i usually get only 15% of my cals from fat, i know i shoudl aim for about 20-25% but i never have the allowance for it in my intake. i just enjoy foods with no fat more-nothing i eat really has fat naturally (i eat alot of grains and fruit, chicken, ect) what are some sources for good fats aside of nuts, fish (which i hate) and olive oil? what foods give you the most good fat for the least calories ( i know it will be relatively high no matter what)?

how about flax seeds? (and peanut butter...)

you can grind a tablespoon of flax seeds, make a milk shake with it (add milk, a banana, a sweetener/honey (i add chai tea powder)). That's what i have for breakfast sometimes...

good fats include: nuts and seeds, olive oil, avocado, PB, oily fish (salmon, herrings, mackerel and others).

cook everything in olive oil.

Seriously. :)

Dont you find that adds too many calories missybear?

mmm sprinkle some extra virgin olive oil on your salad.

if you really want it to be low cal, do 1/2 a Tbsp (60 cals, 7 g of fat) of it and lots of greens so you get filled up for under 200 caloriess :)

Salmon, Halibut, Mackrel.  Don't be hatin' on the fish.....  Cool  Plus you get your proteins and the Omega 3's.
