Soy Protein Powder gets a really bad grade here!
Why does my Soy Protein Powder get a C-? After entering all the info, I get the grade, but no pros/cons like w/other foods. Can anyone guess what's so bad about this stuff? I'm going to keep having my daily protein shake, but I'm curious why it got such a poor mark. Thanks!

really high cals maybe?? I dunno... try not to worry bout the grade. if you know its good, then its good. don't sweat it :)
personally i find soy protien powder to be too gritty, and not filling. Whey protien and other animal based cheese/meat protiens seem to hold me much longer than soy or soy flour.
Soy is good for women, while men should have whey. I don't find it gritty...I make a killer shake. Chocolate soy powder, 1 cup nonfat milk, 6or 8oz nonfat vanilla yogurt, plus one icecube. Blend in blender, and it's frothy and rich! I guess I won't worry about its' grade. It's low in calories, fat, everything.
I don't know the specific one you entered, but the one I just entered got a C+ too.
It's because of the high cholesterol (for mine).
If you look at the bottom of the page under where the calories are listed, it should have "Good Points" and "Bad Points" listed.
That will give you an indication of why it didn't score so high.
Remember that the grades are averaged out at the end of the day. You can have something that is C, D, or even F, and still pull off an A or B :)
It's OVERALL :)
I hope this helps!
