Simple supper dish
| 1 | lb minced beef |
| 800 | g tomatoes, chopped |
| 2 | onions, chopped |
| 1 | clove garlic, crushed |
| 1 | tablespoon olive oil |
| 1 | teaspoon oregano |
| 1 | tablespoon tomato puree |
| 4 | tablespoons red wine (optional) |
| 1 | salt and pepper (freshly ground black pepper) |
| 8 | oz dried spaghetti |
- Heat a non stick pan and cook the minced beef until the fat runs. Drain and reserve
- Wipe out the pan, heat the oil and cook the onion and garlic until golden and softened
- Return the beef to the pan with wine, tomatoes, tomato puree, herbs and seasoning. Cover and simmer gently for about an hour, stirring occasionally
- Serve over cooked spaghetti
