| 424 | g pork loin country-style ribs (cooked yield from 1.54 lb raw) |
| 1/2 | cup ketchup |
| 37 | g vinegar |
| 1/4 | cup brown sugar |
| 28 | g honey |
| 2 | tablespoons soy sauce |
| 1/2 | tsp dry mustard |
| 1/4 | tsp garlic powder |
| 1/8 | tsp pepper |
- Bake spare ribs on a broiler pan at 500 degrees for 25 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Remove visible fat and put into a saucepan with a tight cover. Mix remaining ingredient in a bowl and pour over spare ribs.
- Start at medium heat, then reduce to low, and simmer with cover on for about two hours, checking every half hour for volume of sauce remaining to prevent burning.
- Note: Will use only 2 Tbsp brown sugar and buy reduced sodium soy sauce next time because these were a bit salty.
