Has anyone tried the 2 Week Special K challenge? If so, if it worth doing?

I dont see the harm in it, but its simply not enough food for me!!! :) I used to have it in the morning and have it for a afternoon snack though.
Anything that is a short term thing will not work in the long run...  I can starve myself for 4 or 5 days and lose 5 pounds, but as soon as I start eating again..

same with anything that calls itself a diet.. sooner or later, when you go back to "normal"  the weight comes back...   For weight loss to be real, we have to change "normal"
I would suggest just counting calories and doing some good cardio for 2 weeks and you'll have just as much if not more success.

Well, they might think that the general population consumes more calories for breakfast and lunch than a bowl of special K and milk. So it might work if you're a person who consumes more calories I assume. But I know the plan calls for a bowl at breakfast, a bowl at lunch, and a regular dinner and special K snacks. For people with already unhealthy food choices, it might have an impact, but nothing big.
the special K challenge is eating 2 bowls of special K and then a normal meal for dinner right? (im not sure..)

anyway, i wouldn't hugely advise it unless you LOVE speical K because you might get really sick of it and binge or something. I actually do love special K, so I eat it for breakfast a lot but I'd say variety up your foods and you'll have an easier time getting all the nurients and more fun eating!

on the other hand, if you think you're up for it, go for it! Special K is a healthy and low fat cereal, and you get protieny milk with it too. so it doesn't sound like a bad diet. up to you :)
I LOVE special k! I seriously go through almost a box and a half a week.. its a bit of an obsession...

I think what a lot of people want to emphasize is that this is a "quick fix" diet that could backfire in the long run if you arent careful.  My two cents- I feel like when people start dieting they need that boost where they see the numbers dropping pretty fast on the scale.... kind of like a "hey I can do this!" type of pick me up.  As long as you realize this diet is just a booster I feel like its a-ok!  I also feel this way about other "quick fix" diets... in the beginning the confidence is needed.  Make sure you get off it after the reccomended two weeks though and start adjusting to other lunch and snack foods.

Althoughhhh if you love the cereal like me... just use it as a breakfast and a snack option.... super yummy!
I do know someone that did it and lost weight, but he gaied every oz back plus when he started eating regular again. I love it too it is my favorite breakfast and have it almost every day, but I wouldn't like it so much if I ate that much of it LOL
i know someone that tried it and she didn't lose any weight. i think her stomach did shrink from it, so it was easier to eat less afterwards
There was a thread on this once before.

I don't see the magic.  You can eat anything sensible with that amount of cals for breakfast & lunch & lose the same weight.  This is just easier b/c it takes away the planning.  In that other thread lots of pple said they were too hungry.
