this post may answer some of your questions... http://www.calorie-count.com/forums/post/1075 .html
Does it really work? No, not really. Eating Special K for 2 meals reduces your total calorie intake for the day. And you might lose some weight. But as soon as you resume your old eating habits, you will regain the weight.
You can't live on Special K for the rest of your life, and sustainable weight loss requires sustainable lifestyle changes.

Research has shown that eating the same thing for 2 meals a day can over time make you loose weight. I have lost over 40 lbs. on the Special K diet.
It depends. If you eat special K twice a day, have junk food snacks, and have a fatty dinner then NO, it will not help you at all. BUT special K is healthy and has low calories...plus carbs and whole wheat that you need. If you have a normal two meals and one meal of SK (or two...but you will probably get sick of it in a while so I reccommend one) then it will help you out, but it doesn't really have much to do with Special K. Eating well, lowering your calories, and exercise will help you lose weight, no matter what you eat. Eating two meals of special K, Mcdonalds for dinner and 2000 calorie snacks, and having a sedentary lifestyle won't help you one bit. Also, read the fine print. It probably says something like 10 pounds was lost after 14 weeks...do you really wnat to wait that long?
