is it true that spicy foods help speed up your metablolism??
i love eating spicy foods so i hope its true!
if it is, do you know what kind of spicy foods are the best for speeding it up? im so excited that my love for spice may actually be a good thing!

Thats what they say, but I wouldn't say its by much.Its not going to burn off kgs per year, but it all helps. Spice is good for you tho, so unless you hate it, add it! It can be used as a salt substitution, so it could help you lower your intake of salt.
Anything with hot pepper, specifically capsaicin in it.  Apparently it has some other health benefits as well. 

Google "health benefits of capsaicin".  Of course, as science continues to analyze all this, the facts seem to change.  However, currently it's good news for those of us who enjoy spicey food. 

My favorites are ethnic foods:  Thai food and Indian food:)
Yes, spicy foods are supposed to speed up metabolism and are also supposed to aid in burning calories.....some good ones are

jalapenos

cayenne pepper

spicy mustard

hot sauce
Also, spicy foods can make you feel satisfied sooner because the taste is intense.  Foods with very strong tastes supposedly make you feel full before bland foods will.
Spicy foods also lead you to drink more water... so that also makes you feel full faster.
