Bring lots of water (1 litre for a 1 hour class), a towel (you WILL sweat!) and if you can, buy padded shorts because it may take a few classes to get used to the seat. Show up a few minutes early so the instructor knows your new and he/she can adjust your bike properly. That's it! Have fun!

Ok I admit Im pretty clueless, LOL. I have read alot of post that talked about spinning. What exactly is it?

It's a class on a stationary bike where the instructor simulates different biking conditions (ie: uphill, sprint intervals, etc) and you ride along.

Thanks! Smile

Don't overdo it---ease your way in, because if you try to keep up the first time, your gonna feel like crap unless you are in great shape already!  Oh and your butt is gonna hurt.  Mine felt bruised the first few days, but you get used to it and then it doesn't hurt anymore.

Most of all, have fun--you may become addicted, I know I have!

I was overweight and in my 50's when I started spin and ended up as an instructor. It takes about 4 weeks for your backside to not hurt. Hope your class has good music!!
