spinoff from food survey - nutella and peanut butter

Quote  |  Reply

Someone suggested mixing these - so I went out and bought nutella....hadn't had it in years...and I forgot there was cocoa in it - I am in heaven! I mixed 1 tbsp of nutella with 1 tbsp of smucker's reduced fat smooth natural peanut butter, and spread it on toast.......I have found a new treat!

Can't wait to try it on fruit.....like bananas....or maybe I'll mix it into some yogurt......

Someone also suggested toast with sliced strawberries and nutella :)

Or just use it on top of your oatmeal.

Oatmeal- never thought of that. I am not crazy about oatmeal - this might do the trick.

This is one of my favourite combinations! Amazing with bananas, amazing with strawbs, amazing mixed in yogurt..I also like to spread wholemeal pita bread with a layer of peanut butter, spread some mashed up banana slices over it, spread a layer of nutella over it, and spread some more mashed banana slices, and then heat it up. Then I wrap it up and BAM, a yummy crepe like meal!

nom nom nom. I like making nutella and pb sandwiches, tastes like a reeses peanut butter cup sandwich. oh, and it's good by itself too.

pardon me if I sound rude, 'cause I'm just really curious is all...how could you forget that theres cocoa in nutella? Tongue out

What does Nutella tastes like? I hear so much about it, but I'm allergic to dairy and I'm pretty sure Nutella contains  milk. :(

Nutella info.  I am lactose intolerant and the tiny amount of dairy in Nutella doesn't bother me at all.

I think it tastes mostly like chocolate in a jar.  It's amazing stuff.  According to the information in the link, it's more hazelnut than cocoa.  My kids always preferred instant flavored oats to rolled or steel cut oats, until I started added a teaspoon of Nutella.  It helps them stay full until snack time and is a lot lower in sugar than the instant packs.  I'm sure the type of oats contributes to that as well though.

tastes like chocolate frosting with a hint of hazelnuts...and yes, it does contain dairy. :(

It tastes nothing like frosting.  Frosting is sickingly sweet, but nutella has more of a rich, fatty taste.  Maybe more like pudding with hazelnuts?
