Ok to split up p90x workouts?

Quote  |  Reply

I started p90x this week and I just don't have the time to do a full workout in one session since some are over 1 hour. I'm already getting up at 6am to do it before work and I don't have too much time after work. So do you think it would be okay to do half in the morning and half in the evening? Or would it just defeat the point of doing p90x?At least for the first couple of weeks?

Hello,

I ran into the same problem while doing p90x. My first inclination was that any type of exercise is worth it, however doing p90 I believe you have to do the full exercise to get the maximum benefits. When I started, I would only do half then I would try to do the other half later in the evening. It just didnt seem the same, I didnt get that feeling that I had accomplished my goal. I would try to get up a little early and complete your exercise, then relax in the evening when you get home from work. This will allow you to at least get to bed early since you are getting up earlier to workout. This may be a problem when you get to the yoga as it is about 90+ minutes long. I hope this helps. Good luck with your workout and dieting.

Yes, it's the Yoga that I did today. I could only finish an hour of it before I had to get running to work. Waking up earlier would definitely be the most logical option but I am not a morning person at all and 6am was a pain. But it's only 90 days, guess I'll have to get a few of the most annoying alarm clocks I can find. Thanks for your reply!
