I'm 44 yrs old, married and mom of 2.  I've been losing weight for 16 months now and will continue to try until I get to a place I feel is right for me.

I'll post my weight on Feb 16th and hope others will join me!  This isn't just a weigh in post, this a place to make friends and encourage others to make it to their goal.

Im Teri, a 21 year old on a mission. My man is a soldier in Afghanistan and Im determined to get my confidence back and be happy with myself for him getting back as a nice suprise. When he left in October i was 14 stone 8lbs (204lbs) and Ive managed to drop to 11 stone 13lbs (167lbs). This will be a fabby forum since not only does he get back in May but it is also my 22nd bday. If I'm already gonna be celebrating for 2 reasons, why not make getting in shape in time a 3rd reason to celebrate !!  :D

I had already made a big goal for myself that ends in May so I'd love to join this friendly group challenge.  

By May 1st I'd like to weigh what I did 5 years ago after the birth of our youngest child.  I'm a 43yo sahm to 3 boys and recently moved to the Denver area. 

This is the first time in my life I have ever 'dieted', not counting my failed half day attempt at Atkins several years ago ;)  I really like the sensible and realistic approach to weight loss and healthy eating that CC promotes.  I started Jan 6th and have lost 10lb.

Hey all Im 21 yr old female whose been dieting since i was 11 lol.  All in my profile.  This time im doin it as a life change not a diet n im LOVINNN it, so far ;0)   Started on 5th Jan and have lost 11lbs since then, I have not looked back. Had rocky patches but ive got through them and the best thing about it all so far is that i fell truly PROUD of myself!!!!!  Im hopin this forum will be a good weigh to chat bout the weekly weigh ins n stay positive n offer support!!! Lookin forward to it.

Thanks for the challenge, although my ultimate goal is to be done losing weight around the end of May I hope this will be a great incentive to keep on track.

I'm a 38 year old, mother of 2 (ages 5 & 2). I've been very happy with CC since I joined in June of last year. Most everyone here is so supportive and the data is priceless.

Here's to losing these last 18 pounds!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Teri and this is my first challenge on C.C.  I am 25 years old and have been on several attempts to diet the last couple years.  Now I am back and more motivated than ever!  My boyfriend and I are going on our first "major" vacation on May 7th.  We will be going  on a road trip from Wisconsin to Texas to Vegas and Los Angeles! 

I started this diet on January 26 with the Master Cleanse Diet (5 days and lost 7 lbs).  Now I have changed my eating habits to be less junk and more healthy/low cal foods (9 days and lost 3 lbs).  I recently got a WII Fit for a regular excercise routine (until the weather is above freezing).

I am determined to get into a swimming suit!

Welcome everyone!  I'm so excited I hve some sign ups!!!  WOW!!! 

I'm down to my last 15 or so pounds to lose and it's been so hard!  They seem to be the most stubborn! LOL 

What does everyone do for exercise?  I try to walk as much as possible and I have a Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd I try to do.  I also do wall push ups since I can't do the "real" ones bc of my issues with my back. 

Yeah, I'm disabled from chronic back and leg pain.  When I walk, I walk with a cane.  I wrote about myself in my journal if you want to read it. You'd be amazed at the hurdles I've had to jump over to get where I am now.

Maybe use that info as motivation.  If I get out there and do something, so can you! 

Edit: Changed my mind about joining this group...  Sorry!  Not much of a point since I've reached my goal and am just building muscle.  My weight probably won't change very much.

Tammy, you have been doing so wonderful!!  I'm so proud of you and your managing to stick w/it and get your long walks in.  Good for you!  Hopefully those 15 pounds will come off in no time.

As far as exercise goes, I've been doing the New Rules of Lifting for Women and do that lifting routine 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) and follow up some of my workouts with some HIIT on my treadmill.

Karey,  Thanks for joining!  It'll be interesting to see how your weight goes as you gain muscle.  I think all of us can learn and see just how muscle affects our weight.  I've been struggling with this last little bit of weight forever, it seems.  Something gotta give soon! lol 

Tammy~  Thanks for inviting me!  :)  I wish we would have done this back when i was still trying to lose weight.  Oh well, this should be interesting.  I'm probably gonna go up and all of you are going to go down!  Muscle weighs more.    I just know you're going to win the struggle w/your weight!  You've come so far and been through so much that I KNOW you can do it!!!  :)

Karey,  Jillian Michaels says that's a bunch of crap.  That you can keep your weight the same while you gain muscle and you can even lose weight too.  Look at those players on BL, they lose weight and gain muscle!  So????  Maybe she knows something we don't! LOL  I hope she'd share the secret with the rest of us.  Ya know?

I went walking today again!  I love getting out!  I burned 580 cals today.  I carried a weight and it kept my heart rate up to burn more!  Yep, I cheated! lol I walked for 1 1/2 hrs.  It didn't even seem so long.  It's going to be 60*F tomorrow with a rain shower here and there so maybe I can get a walk in tomorrow too in between showers.  I'm really wanting warm weather to get here and stay.  The key word being STAY! LOL

 Hey, Its cool to see someone in the same position as myself. What did you do to lose those 11 lbs then ? I recently bought myself a stepper for my living room so that Im not commiting any sins while i watch the TV. Its really encouraging to actually read on a screen the calories that I was burning. My wee achy legs hate me today though... Sorry legs but yours pain is the lesser of 2 evils.

Hi everyone!  Momof2, I'm in on this one, too.  Maybe I can stay consistent this time and really get down to my goal weight in time for swimsuit season.  I'm going to Vegas this weekend and will post my starting weight when I get back.  Thanks for starting this and NOT giving up.  You are truly inspirational.

For everyone else I am a SAHM, homeschooling 3 little ones.  I started out at 155 (5'2") and lost my motivation about halfway to my goal.  I'm going to pick it up again here, with all of you, stay strong!  Carbs, chocolate, and sugar are my bane!  I will be keeping them in check.  Who's in control here anyway, me or the food?
