Karey, Jillian Michaels says that's a bunch of crap. That you can keep your weight the same while you gain muscle and you can even lose weight too. Look at those players on BL, they lose weight and gain muscle! So???? Maybe she knows something we don't! LOL I hope she'd share the secret with the rest of us. Ya know?
I sure wish I knew her secret! If you ever find it out, let me know! In everything I've read so far, it pretty much says you're going to weigh more w/the muscle. I've heard that only newbies to lifting can be in calorie deficit and still build muscle, otherwise you need to be in a calorie surplus.
I'm in. This is my first challenge. Looking forward to it!!! My ultimate goal is to lose 150 # so i'm hoping some of these challenges will keep me motivated.

5/1: Final Weigh In!!!
Hi there. I'm a 39yo landscape designer who found herself behind a desk for the past 5 years and 70 pounds overweight. I joined CC in Ocotober and just reached my halfway mark to my first goal - a normal BMI!
I've got a new job lined up in the spring as a Master Gardener and am determined to get back into shape so that I can enjoy my work and not be in pain. I was looking for a challenge of some kind that would tie in to my return to work the first week of May. My goal is to lose 20 pounds by then.
PROBLEM: I can weigh-in Feb 16, but will be on vaction for the 23rd and 2nd weigh-ins. Is that okay? can I still join? It would be just what I need to make sure I stay on track while I'm away! Besides that, you all seem so friendly! I love making new friends!
Hey, I need some advice from K9stylist. When did you start the NROWLW? Did you find it easy? How long does it take you to get through the routine? What kind of results are you seeing? Are you doing the program from beginning to end?
You look absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey.

Hi! I started NROL4W on January 12th, so I've been doing it for almost exactly a month now. I do the routine 3 days a week and am almost finished with Stage 1 - two more workouts left. Each session usually takes me 45min to an hour including a warmup. Yes, I'm planning on doing the whole program from beginning to end. As far as results go, I've noticed an improvement in my arms and biceps, some small back muscles appearing, and my legs and bum have tightened up more.
I hope that helped some and if you have any more ?'s, please feel free to ask. Also, thank you so much for the compliment, you made me smile. :)

Hi! I really don't see why that would be a problem... I say the more, the merrier!
Tammy~ Is this okay w/you? Afterall, you're the thread starter! :)
I sent her a private message telling her it was ok. I didn't know if she'd come back on here anytime soon. I said most people miss a weigh in or two anyways at some time. :)
It's nice to see that others don't mind either.
See you all Monday! Have a great weekend and HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!
Hi guys! I'm floating around here quite often...no work in landscaping at this time of year in Canada!
I'm looking forward to this new challenge. Hope I won't let you down while I'm away! It's alwys nice to get to know new people - especially when they share the same goals as you!
Hope you all have a special Valentine's Day!
Hey there, I'm Jayne. 21 year old student from the UK! I currently weigh the lowest I have in two years. but I'm wanting to get into and stay in onederland. I was there last week. 182 is the weight i was at 16 years old although I have been as low as 164 and as high as 224 so I'm doing ok.
I work in a bar called Flares which is a 70s inspired nightclub so I work til stupid hours in the morning and am always peckish, resisting the tmeptation to eat when i get home is hard but I'm trying.

Weigh in tomorrow! Are you ready to begin this challenge? I am!
I'm in. This is weird that I found this by you guys. I was looking for some challenge type thing to help the motivation. This is my first challenge. Mom! (snow) quit losing weight.
Anywho...i'm Jamie. I used to weigh only 160 but when I moved in with hubs and we ate only takeout everyday I gained A LOT. I lost then got preggo then lost again. I'm at 201 right now (lost 8 lbs in the last two weeks! woot woot) I'm hoping on continuing to be at a healthy bmi weight which would be 169 or less. I'm setting a goal of 181 which would be a 2lb loss per week. Hopefully it's obtainable.
Oh, and i'm not looking foward to weigh in number one bc we ate Outback last night and a sonic blast today. Thank god for the CC toolbar always reminding me how good or bad i've been today.

I'm trying to be positive - the pizza and 170 calorie sugar cookie I ate yesterday boosted my metabolism and will cause me to be down an extra 2lbs at tomorrow's weigh in! ![]()
OMG! Is tomorrow first weigh-in? But I just ate a third of a large works pizza! Figured I could get away with it since I did an hour on the elliptical this morning! Shoot! That'll teach me!
ah, well, see you all in the a.m.!
Sounds like some interesting weigh ins tomorrow! LOL It's ok. We'll have better weights on the 23rd then! I know I will!!! Gaining 10 lbs in 1 week is NOT my idea of fun! You read it right.....twice in one week, I went up 5 lbs over night! Now Beat That One!!!!
momof2: Gaining 10 pounds in 1 week doesn't sound like you gained fat. Wouldn't you have had to eat an excess of 35,000 pounds. I bet its mostly water weight.
I don't know what I have gained; but, I sure have ate a lot of sugar over the last couple of days. (But, Godiva chocolate is worth whatever I gained
.) Seriously, I need to learn about moderation. I was so excited about my recent weight loss that I gave myself permission to splurge a bit too much.
Oh, and I gain a lot when I eat sodium. (This morning I had chorizo and eggs with refried beans and lots of rice. Very reminiscent of my childhood memories! It was fun; but, It is time to get serious and eat healthy.)
On a positive note. With all the excess calories I am not as cold as I usually am. I am counting this as a much needed break for my body so I can get back on track and loose some more. Plus, if I did gain a lot it will feel so much better next week when I loose some more, right?
Anyhow, good luck everyone!

Shall we just edit this one each time rather than reposting?
Hello, I know I'm a bit late but I hope I can still join! I'm also on Stew's Crew, but I think a Monday weigh-in might be good motivation to behave over the weekend!!
I started at 173 last January, got down to 147 at the end of November, then went back home for a month and got up to 154. Still trying to get back to 147 so I can continue on to my goal weight of 135!! I've not been that size since I was 13...I've never been really big as I've always been very active, but I've always loved food and went through periods where I wasn't as active as I needed to be to work off what I was eating! Now I want to be thin and lean, because I should be at 25! It's really slow however as my bf loves to eat too and I have times where I get frustrated, like everyone else. We had our Valentine's Day celebration last night as he had to work on Saturday so I'm not weighing in today!! We ate and drank a ridiculous amount and I'm sure I've got a couple extra pounds of water weight in me. I'll weigh in maybe tomorrow...but definitely next week.
