5/1: Final Weigh In!!!
I record my weight twice a month on here. Like around the 9th and again around the 22nd. Sometimes I forget though! ;)
I record my weights every Sunday. But sometimes I will record it midweek when I see a big dip. (I like to see the number on my calorie count toolbar go down.)
I love to see the number go down on the weight log, too!
Right now I record my weight daily, but I'm only 6 weeks in to eating healthier and counting calories. The weight & calorie logs are teaching me a lot... for instance, my weight will stay the same for 2 or 3 days and then dip down for one day, then back up again for another couple of days, and finally, permanently, down. Interesting, and I've learned not to panic when the numbers go up. It helps that I'm a list and number loving type of woman.
I'm sure that once I become more accustomed to this and sure of what I'm doing, I will record my weight weekly rather than daily. The same for my calorie log.
Can I still join? I have found that these challenges really help me stay committed to my game plan.
I'm 40 (or will be on Saturday anyway), mom of 2 wonderful kids (most of the time - LOL) 13 & 11 and married to my wonderful husband for 17 years. While my family is supportive of my weight loss goals, they are NOT very helpful with the healthy eating/exercise plans I've made for myself. So I need all the extra support I can get. I sit behind a desk most days working at a computer so I don't get a lot of movement in. However I have an exercise bike that I try to use for at least 30 minutes everyday (note key word TRY).

Hey augette!! Welcome to the challenge! I enjoyed having you as a team mate on BLC and now we can cheer each other on for another few months!
I can do this. I'm a 36 yo dad. I kept pace with my wife weight-wise when she had our first, but I didn't have the benefit of having a baby come out at the end. I've become officially tired of carrying all this weight, and hopefully this challenge will help keep me on track.
Btw: Started at 243 on Jan 1 2009, aiming for my former 180

How often do you guys record your weight? I weigh in every day but only record it on CC once a week (Thursdays).
I record mine every day. I know, ANAL! The actual wgt line sometimes is the same or goes up. But hopefully the trend line keeps going down, and I love to see the line(s) go down!! If the trend line starts going up, then it's time to get REALLY serious and buckle down.
Hey y'all!
Hope you don't mind if i crash the party! I would love to lose at least 15 lbs. by the end of this challenge! I'm a little over half way to the goal line, so I think the support will give me the extra kick I need!![]()
SW (for this challenge): 176
GW (minimum): 161
Weigh in dates:
2/16 176
For the most part, every single time I lose, I log here, and every once in a while when I gain LOL! I just can't stand to watch that line go up! Well, hopefully I will get much joy from watching the numbers on the weigh-in dates drop from week-to-week! Let's do it!
Hey! hey! hey! I want to join. I was actually in a Feb. challenge but sort of forgot about it and was kind of embarrased that I "fell off the wagon" a bit! So anyhow, I'm 23 years old and love working out but have fell into a big funk these last couple weeks. I blame it on the cold weather. lol.
But I REALLY can't wait to get back into my routine. I'm probably somewhere between 145-150 right now and wanting to get down to 135. I'll weigh in on monday with my real current weight.
Hi! Welcome to the new people!!! Anyone can join at any time! :)
I'm going to be absent over the weekend, at least. I'm going for an epidural Steroid injection tomorrow morning and I'll be in bed all weekend recuperating from it. PAIN!!!!!
So you all behave
over the weekend and remember there's a weigh in on Monday. ![]()
Hope to be back on again on Monday (if I can sit here). If not, I'll be back when I feel better.
Okay, we're leaving in about half an hour. Now I will find out if I learned anything over the past 4 months. No CC to guide me along on my vacation!
We're going on a criuse where EVERYTHING is all you can eat! I'm planning on visiting the gym and track and dancing at the clubs on the 'at sea' days and doing lots of walking and swimming when we're at a port...but good plans can often be waylaid...
Wish me luck!
Sending well wishes of comfort your way Tammy! We look forward to hearing from you next week! Hang in there!![]()
lilygirl - I actually did a cruise this summer for a week and managed to stay on track. Obviously be careful of the sweets and the all night buffet. I just did one treat a day type of thing, like if I had a daquiri on the deck, I wouldn't have dessert that night. Also, some boats cater to diabetics and their options tend to be sugar free.
Good luck and have fun!
Weigh in tomorrow!!!!! Did you do well this past week????? Sure hope so!!!!
If you didn't, this is a new week......just get moving and put down the fork! LOL
WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!
I'm so hoping to see a drop tomorrow a.m. Last Friday it was the same old number I'd seen for the past 3 weigh ins. I'm actually steeling myself for the possibility of seeing the same number again! Good luck everyone and catch you in the morning :)
Oh, and I'm happy to see you were feeling well enough to come on momof2funykids :)
This is a pretty lively bunch but can I join too?
I'm in Feb weight loss challenge that ends next week but I can do both and have recorded wt for the 16th which I'll post tomorrow along with normal weigh in and goal, etc.
I'm 70, 5'6", retired who started at 174 # in 2006 and have been trying to lose the last 10# over the last 14mo.! I go to the gym 3x week but am limited for weight lifting due to herniated discs and do most of my cardio in the swimming pool. On non-gym days, I walk for at least 30" and spend an hour doing stretches, crunches and weights. All while trying to keep healthy calories around 1400.
Hello and good luck to everyone!

There is something wrong that those injections are leaving you with extensive recuperation and pain as that should be alleviated. Do you get them in a doctor's office or at a surgical clinic? I've been a bit numb after one but never in pain and would suggest that you complain to your doctor about it.
Hope you are feeling better by now.--- a newcomer in this challenge.
There are some people who don't get any relief from the injections. I'm one! They have always irritated my discs. I go to my pain mgt dr to get it done and he uses fluoroscope to do it, with an x-ray to make sure it's in the right place. My BP drops every time I've gotten one. This is a new site, so maybe it'll be better tihs time around. BUT I'll always have more pain for a few days just because of how my discs are. After 3-7 days I'll know if it's worked any. Keeping my fingers crossed! This is a herniated disc he's messing with.
I didn't go and get the shot, by the way. WRONG DAY!!!!! It's this friday!!!!! I posted about it in my journal! You'd laugh to read about it! Got up and ready and just happened to look at the appt card, and it said the 27th, not the 20th! So I'll be thinking about it another week AGAIN!!!! LOL
I'm hoping to have lost at least a pound tomorrow. I don't know though. Ate lasagna today for dinner. How could I pass that up after making it myself? ;)
