SPRING to WINTER CHALLENGE-OPEN-UPDATE 11/10/09

I find it's easiest to lose weight from Spring to Fall.  Anyone interested in trying a challenge to see how much we can lose by the end of September? We'll post our weights at least every Sunday and see how we are doing each week.  Post your starting weight...we're starting now at the beginning of April.  Sunday night I'll post the weights I have.  Please join, it should be fun and a long enough time (6 months) for us to see great results through the Spring, Summer, and Fall.  :)

Ok, here is the list so far of starting weight.   You can email me or post here your weight each Sunday/Monday and I will then each week list the weight lost and percentage lost if you would like.   I will also send this by email to you as well.  If you don't see your name or an abbreviation, email me.  Looking forward to the challenge and any inspiring ideas each week you have send my way or post .  If you don't want to post your weight, then just email me your pounds lost.  Here is the updated list and we'll start Sunday, April 12 and 13 to see if we have lost any pounds.  Enjoy.  :)

Hi.

My starting weight for this challenge is 218.

This is a good challenge for me because I'll be moving to the dorms next fall, so I would love to be as small as I could possibly be by then.   Hopefully under 200.

Welcome.  I really think this is a great 6 months to try a challenge...the weather is getting nicer...no excuse for all of us to lose.  I can figure out loss percentages if people want.  Should be fun.  :)

Starting weight as of yesterday is 151.5.

I want to be 140 by fall.  Seems like such a short way to go, but.....I'm so, so stuck.

I think it's a great idea!  I am doing something similar with my sister and best friend and when we make our goals in the six month period, we get to buy ourselves body buggs (calorie burn counters you wear, if you've never heard of them).  I would totally do this one too, but I have to say, I am pretty guarded over my weight number.  I will have to think on it, but I DO KNOW YOU ALL CAN DO IT!  Woo!

Want to count me in too? I'm 122 right now, want to be around 110. I'm 5'2" and my ideal weight at 16% bf is 110. It takes me a while to lose weight (I lost 3 lbs in the last 3 months), but I want to be at my ideal weight by fall. That's twice the rate I was going at if I want to lose 12 lbs in 6 months, but totally doable, right? :P

 

I'm up for it. I can be the dude from over seas. Unfortunately the weather is getting worse in Scotland!

My starting weight as of now is 224lbs.

Want to whittle down as much as possible by my birthday (Oct 27)

Count me in, I finish a Masters Degree in September and want to lose enough to look good and be more confident in the "real world" of work for my first proper job. Hopefully I can hit 200lbs by then!

I'm in.  I'll probably post my weights on monday mornings bc im in another challange that ends next month... I need to have a date thou so if theirs not one im setting Aug 17th as my date...

(Aug 17th-20 weeks)- 165

I want to lose at least 27 lbs in 20 weeks.

I'm setting the end date as Thursday October 1st (we can possibly go to Monday, October 5th if people like).  Six months and posting on Mondays is fine if that's what people want.  Welcome and we'll all do well together!  :)

I'm in. I lost 10 pounds in March. At 5' 7".

Starting weight 182.6

Goal weight by October---145 lbs.. though I'll be happy at 158 lbs.

I have been doing great over the past 5 months or so (Down 36.4 pounds) but have a lot of things happening over the next few months that could throw a wrench into the works if I don't watch out. It would be great to have the extra support. I loved the biggest loser challenge and having weekly percentages...but I was on vaccation when this round started

I'm 39 and 5'6" and my start weight (April 1st) is 189.6. My goal is to get to my goal weight (155) - isn't everybody's? I really don't care how much I lose...as long as I lose and have some good friends to help me find my way there. 

Oh okay October is like 26 weeks.  I may be able to get to my goal by then but we'll see.  I probably wont change my goal unless I meet it. 

Sign me in! I ALWAYS put on weight during winter and then when spring comes around I realise it's time to get rid of it again. Nice weather makes it easier for me to lose weight, because I hate the gym so I don't workout enough when it's cold :/

Anyway, starting weight as of now is 61 kg (134lbs), goal is 55 kg (121lbs).
