SPRING to WINTER CHALLENGE-OPEN-UPDATE 11/10/09
I find it's easiest to lose weight from Spring to Fall. Anyone interested in trying a challenge to see how much we can lose by the end of September? We'll post our weights at least every Sunday and see how we are doing each week. Post your starting weight...we're starting now at the beginning of April. Sunday night I'll post the weights I have. Please join, it should be fun and a long enough time (6 months) for us to see great results through the Spring, Summer, and Fall. :)
Ok, here is the list so far of starting weight. You can email me or post here your weight each Sunday/Monday and I will then each week list the weight lost and percentage lost if you would like. I will also send this by email to you as well. If you don't see your name or an abbreviation, email me. Looking forward to the challenge and any inspiring ideas each week you have send my way or post . If you don't want to post your weight, then just email me your pounds lost. Here is the updated list and we'll start Sunday, April 12 and 13 to see if we have lost any pounds. Enjoy. :)

I've had my cursor on the reply for about 10 minutes. I'm already involved in the 75 mile challange. I do need to loose about 30 pounds but I just can't commit to it yet. I know you understand where I'm at, maybe next time. I know I'm going to hate myself watching these pounds fall off all your members. GOOD LUCK TO EACH OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, I got in a 2 hr hike today. It's been a long week, no real time for exercise with 5 kids, 1 husband, full time work week and day after day of drizzly cold rain. The weather was perfect for a long hike in the woods. Maybe the numbers on the scale in the morning will be kind. I also took a few extra runs up and down the stairs today just to burn as many pesky little calories as I could. I guess thats the whole idea of spring summer weight loss, beautiful weather that beckons me outside, fresh fruits and veggies at the local farm stand, and that extra something in the spring that motivates me to clean up my lazy overfed winter body just as I give my house a thorough spring cleaning.
I just have to say I am so excited for the next few months. We are all going to do so amazing!!
One suggestion is that I write the SW and then CW and then GW. I would be happy to do that. I know some of you have sent that in. It wouldn't be too hard for me this week to add that....really all I would be changing is the CW. So please feel free to email me or post here if you haven't, your Goal Weight. I will keep CW as the same as SW unless you tell me differently. ![]()

My start weight in Jan was 180 lbs.
My start weight for this challenge was 163 lbs
My Goal weight is 145 - 150 lbs.

So I've been about the same weight for about two weeks. I think I'm going to up my calories a bit and see if it shakes things up. My situation is complicated. See, I am 18 but my "goal" for calories for the day is only 1300 mostly do to the fact that my diet is made up largely of dining hall food. I can't know the exact counts of everything, so I have to guesstimate. So I know that I'm probably really underguessing portions/calories for everything and actually eating closer to 1600. But with my added exercise, I think I should be eating just a bit more. I dunno. We'll see if it works for next weeks weigh in!!
Ed, are we weighing in for this week? You just set up the list with everyone's weights so I wasn't sure.
