Why are some women so delusional? Seriously?

Do they think the initial water rentention is muscle mass?

It seems like lately I've seen a ton of threads about how fast women think their thighs get "bulky"...  I just don't get it.

i'm a lurker but seldom post....however, i just had to tell ya'll that reading through this thread made my night! the sarcasm is literally dripping off my monitor...love it! i haven't read anything that funny since everyone was trying to get a rise out of pg the other day lol.

I must admit this thread is quite funny. 

The people who ask these questions are just beginners, who are often misguided by ignorant fellow gym goers or fitness instructors who charge 20 bucks an hour.  The fitness industry is full of bs and clever marketing aimed at beginners, I'm sure we've all been duped at some point in our aims for fitness or strength.

Regardless of what level we're at now, we've all probably asked our fair amount of funny questions when we first started out.

 Update - Thank you everyone for your support.  I just wanted to let everyone know that I did NOT wake up all hulky!  YAY.....   But hubby says I look really TONED!   I guess the "Bimbo Party Bash" workout with 3 pounds works!

this would be a lot funnier if i didn't feel the frustration of the futility.

and if lifting puny weights makes them happy then fine but its just annoying that newbies are not given the correct information that could probably help them shape their bodies.

i would join in all the fun but i guess im just not feeling the friday mood.

Hey Octo - we're not trying to make fun of anyone... just a little frustrated that it doesn't happen as quickly as we would LIKE!!  It is not meant to be offensive to anyone - just a little fun to relieve some tension and some boredom!  Cheer up - It's Friday! 

As Littlesimongeorge said, we were all new once!

 well i did land pretty hard on my backside and my elbows when i fell from the stupid unstable chin up bar last week.  oh well i usually have 3-4 stupid accidents per month, you'd think my body would just be used to it.

it would be nice to just magically turn everything into muscle, bones are overrated anyway.
