I just read thru the thread that pandajenn started in June and it looks like the Sweet Tomatoes in Crestwood was a suggestion for that one

I love Sweet Tomatoes!  I wish there was one near me!

Ive never been there.   what is it?

It's kind of like Souper Salad....

you start at this extremely long salad bar... and it's the BEST salad bar, with all kinds of fresh veggies and salads... then you put your salad on your table and if you wish, you can get some soup from the soup bar, some fruit from the fruit bar, some bread from the bread selection (usually 4 kinds I think) and they also have two kinds of pasta to choose from.

and as if that weren't enough... they also have the ice cream machine with a toppings bar

But when I've been, I am so full of the salad, soup and fruit, I've never had the pasta or the dessert....

mmmm I used to love Souper Salad.  There was one right down the street from my house.... and they closed... hmmm

That is the same day as the Autism Walk - my family has participated every year since my youngest son was diagnosed.  The walk is in Forest Park, and starts at 10 am:

I don't know if I'll be able to make it over to Crestwood after the walk by noon.  If people would like to meet up, walk, and try to make it to Crestwood a little bit later, I'm game!

awesome!!  Whoever wants to could do the walk (might be good for us after all). and then we could plan the actual meetup for later that afternoon or that evening.

Actually, I would drive it.  It's much cheaper that way, and not TOO long of a drive. 

Any suggestions on which area to look for a hotel?

you'll have to ask one of the locals..  Maybe they have some suggestions.  If not, I could call one of my friends there and ask her.
