1st mini-goal by New Year's Day

Quote  |  Reply

This is my personal mission.  If anyone wants to join in with a goal for New Year's...please do!!!

Today's Date: Tuesday 10/9/07

New Year's: Tuesday 1/1/08

That's 12 weeks!!  I am currently at 219 (Down 9lbs. from 228 four weeks ago) and my first mini goal is 199.  That gives me 12 weeks to lose 20 lbs which averages out to slightly over 1.5 pounds a week.

How do I plan on doing this??

1400-1600 calories per day ~ lots and lots of water ~ walking 1-2 miles every day at a 3mph or faster pace.

Once I hit below 200, I will begin to incorporate more exercise.  Probably some weight training and possibly some yoga.  But that's jumping ahead of the game...I'll get there.

Weigh In Dates: (Every Two Weeks)

Sept. 11 - The day I began at my highest weight of 228

Aloha~ Count me in!   I'm aiming for 15 lbs by 1/1/08.   That's 1.25 lbs per week. (I have a slow metabolism).   I'm at 173 (down from 176  2.5 weeks ago) and want to hit under 160 by New Years.

Eating wide variety of healthy foods- 1600 cals per day~2 miles walking/jogging~adding in some free weights~enjoying the process instead of looking for fast fixes that don't work & occasional treats.  Trying to not cheat at all since I've got some Thyroid issues working against me too.  I know I can still lose, it's just that much harder for me.   UGG.

Cool  Starting date on CC was 9/24 at 176.

10/9- 173

10/23-174  (Serious PMS water weight)

11/6--172

11/20-170

12/4-166- woohooo, only 7 more pounds and I'm in the 50's

12/18-165- (holding water again, PMS time is back!)

1/1/08-163

Well, I lost TEN lbs, not 15 but I'm happy with that!  It's slow going but I think I'll turn up the heat on me deficits and workouts for January.  Wishing you all the best!

Sure thing.  I would like to be down 15 lbs. by the new year.  I am 134 lbs. now and I would like to be at the weight I was when I was in high school 9 years ago.  Since I have moved out on my own and gotten married I have put on all the weight in just the past 5 years.

I will get there by eating healthy foods and staying at an overall "A" to a B-", hopefully.  Also I will be doing Curves atleast 3 times a week.

Wish me luck!

This is right up my alley. My mini-goal is to lose 22lbs by new years. My weight

as of 10/10/07 is 153.2.

Oct 10-153.2

Oct 23-150.0

Nov 6-149.0

Nov 20-142.6

Me too!

I'd like to lose 12 pounds by 1/1/08. I'm currently at 182, down from 225 (when I started on this site). I know 12 is a low goal (about 1 pound/week) but my weight always tends to plateau in the 180's for what seem like centuries. Getting down to 170 would be incredible and I'm working hard!

How I will get there: I just started the Couch-5k and am working in other ways to become more active. I adjust my diet by how much I work out and try to focus on incorporating in lots of veggies and high fiber foods and cutting out all processed foods.

Anyone else want to join us?

This is a great way to be proactive about upcoming holidays and helpful to make progress instead of gain holiday weight.

I plan to lose just under 1% of my 10/11 my 391.6 lb weight which would be 36 lbs, 3 lbs weekly.   That actually was my first goal to  weigh under 400 and this is my second goal to lose total 100 lbs.   Ive listed my projected weight to guide me.  Ive been planning this for a while. along.  They may move this to the weight loss forum FYI

Oct. 9 : 392 (392)

390

Oct. 23 : (387.5)

Nov. 6 : (382.5)

Nov. 20 : (377.5)

Dec. 4 : (372.5)

Dec. 18 : (367.5)

1/1/08 : (362.5)

Count me in.

My goal by Jan 1, 2008 is to lose 12 lbs that's about  1 lb per week.  This will put me at 258 by Jan 1,2008.

How will I achieve this goal?  I will get there by eating lots of vegetables and adding some fruits. I will get on my exericse bike for at least 15 min 3 x a week (for me that's a lot). I've just started exercising again so I'm taking it slow although often once I get to my 15 minutes I feel so good I go for a full 30 or more.

Count me in!

My goal is to lose 12 pounds by New Years. I am currently at 175. I want to be 163 by then. It sounds pathetic even to me, but I don't exercise much. I am just trying to keep my calories between 1250 and 1500 a day.

edit:

hey! i'm starting today 10/23

I'm in!!

My goal is to lose 15 lbs by the New Years. Currently, I am 159 lbs. I gave birth to my second child (9 lbs. 3 oz) earlier this year in February and having problems getting my weight back down. I didn't have this much problem after my first child, and I actually gain more weight during the pregnancy with my first one!

This is certainly going to be a good motivator to get me on track. I plan on eating healthier, using portion control, drink more water and only eat when I am actually hungry. Plus get more active! I need help in that arena. For the most part, I just plan on taking one day at a time.

I just realized something neat.

We can just go to our original post and update the numbers there.
My goal is to reach 175 by New Year's Day. I was around 190 around the start of this month, so that means that I need to lose 5 pounds per month. That should be doable.
Oops, I updated my info forgetting that its every two weeks.  Ive fixed it though.
Check-in day guys!!  How's everyone doing?  I was stunned to get on the scale this morning to find that I have lost 8 lbs in the last two weeks!  I am SO excited!  How about you?  Smile

Lost one pound so far and only 14 more to go! Although the scale is not really budging, I have been receiving comments from people that I look like that I am losing weight. That keeps me motivated to stay on track!

Wink

I lost 3.2 lbs so far.  I only have 18.0 lbs to go to reach my 1st mini goal. I've been jogging and weight lifting.  Drinking water helps me control my appetite.  Congratulations Saphyre, on your weight loss.  What are your tips on losing so much weight in only two weeks?  I need to know your secrets.  Also, congratulations to every member in this group who has loss.  As we all know it isn't easy.

I only lost 2 pounds since the initial weigh in, but that's ok.  I had lost 3 but gained 1 back over the weekend.  I have a real hard time staying motivated over the weekend.

I've started getting on my exercise bike every night now so that should help some.  I've started with a small goal of just 15 min every night (by the time I get 15 done I'm usually feeling pretty good so I end up doing 30 or 45 minutes).  I just have a hard time getting started.

Congrats to everyone on your losses.

You go Saphyre!!!   8 lbs. in 2 weeks.

Dang Saphyre!  Nice job!   What cha been doing?  Great job to the rest of you!    I posted a gain but I don't feel bad since it's obviously water gain from PMS.  I'm just hoping that I'm down one or two by the time it's over.  I've been pretty darn good, just a few days (the last 2) with mini binges on sweets.  I've maintained more like a 200-300 deficit instead of 500-600 like I usually try for.  I've been trying a lot of tricks like gum, and sweet tea but the fact is that I've been craving sweets something fierce!  It's starting to subside though so today I'm totally  back on track.  Keep up the good work everyone!

Cool

Yeah, lets just keep editing our comments instead of making the thread super long with new ones!  It's so much easier when you don't have to scroll through them. :)
