We all should be able to come close to our 10% goal in 3-4 months, so lets keep our heads up! Best Luck to Everyone!
Hi there. I'm Sharyn. I had a group going for about 4 months, but the ladies in it dropped off. So I am looking for a new group of committed people. I have lost almost 39 pounds since April, and I still have a long way to go. I am a 35 years young married mother of four and work full-time, so I have to really fight to have time to exercise and eat right, so support groups are really good for me. My husband is great and supportive, but let's face it - men just don't have to work as hard at losing weight as we do so any suggestions they give are kind of annoying, even though they mean well
. I have similar stats as you:
Height 5'6.5 - I just usually round up to 5'7
medium frame. My ultimate goal weight is 140.
I'm currently doing a 15 pounds by Christmas Challenge with another group, but would love to have a longterm group in addition to that.
my current weight is 221, so my 10% goal would put me at 199- I am very motivated to get below 200 pounds.
Will you start a new link every week?
Hey All!!! Morgan...thank you so much for taking the time to put this forum together. I know you and I will keep in touch and do the weigh ins each Friday, but it will be GREAT to have others to conquer these goals with.
My name is Kristi . I am a 27 year old married woman. No children YET...but that is a big reason I want and need to lose weight. I am a very active person with a more active appetite. I LOVE food and love to cook with my husband. We are trying to come up with healthier recipes, but some times he is not always on board with that which makes it harder for me to stay on board. So, this site has and will be a savior.
STATS:
Height: 5'6
Weight: (as of Sunday 10/26) 233lbs
10%: Need to lose/WILL LOSE 23.3lbs
I am larger framed and my first big goal is to reach past that 200 mark!! Then I will move to my next big goal!! Small steps is where I need to start. We all know we wish there was a faster healthy way to lose this weight, but ultimately it is a slow process. But in the end it will all be worth it!!
So, lets do this together all....and I mean ALL....this does not need to be just for women. Good luck to everyone...can't wait for Friday!!!! Kristi

Hi Sharyn,
Welcome! Kristi and I are excited to have people join us!
I am not going to start a new link every week, but we will use this forum and messages back and forth to keep each other motivated- if it gets to crazy and lots of people join us I may start bi-weekly threads...but it all depends on how many join.
Friday's coming soon, good luck!

Happy Friday Everyone! I even splurged last night and only worked out 1 day this week. I really, really, paid attention to what I ate- I slipped up a little bit but made room for the slip by altering how much I ate for dinner. My over all calorie intake per day was approximately 1400-1500 calories. Going to work every day is really good for me because I can bring lunch and change things up.
Sample Menu for a day!
2 slices light oatmeal bread with 1 tbsp. peanut butter
1 Grapefruit
2c. Coffee with cream and sugar (limit amount)
1c. Cottage cheese
12oz Honey Dew Melon
4oz Sliced Red peppers
4oz chicken Breast
1c. Beets
1/2c. Mac and cheese organic
1/2c your FAV ice Cream to end off the nite!!!
Remember if you limit too much you will indulge too much when the time comes to eat what you really like!
Hi There Everyone!
Thanks so much for letting me join your group. Do you ladies mind if I add you to my friends list?
Morgan,
Congrats on the 2.2 lbs! That is awesome. You are well on your way to that 10%![]()

Have a Happy Halloween everyone!
Happy Friday everyone!! Hope you all had a great first week. I feel as though I have been very conscious of what I am in-taking. I have stuck to around 1700-1800 calories a day...with the exception of last night. It was a friends birthday so we went out and celebrated a little after volleyball. But I have gone to the gym every night minus last night where I played vball. So, I think it has been a successful first week. Lets keep things going everyone!!! Kristi

Ultimate goal: 170lbs-could probably go lower, but that seems reasonable...first major goal is to pass the 200 mark!!
Great job Kristi!
I'm like you ladies, I believe in balance and moderation. I think you have to allow flexibility in your eating plan and exercise plan in order for it to work longterm.
100% with you. I am the type of person that if I do not splurge every once in a while I will binge and then completely fall off track. But having you all to talk to is really a big help.
Great job to you both for a good first week!! Lets keep going strong! Kristi
Hi Mammamoosh, thanks for starting this thread. I need the support here since my BF has the worse eating habits and I tend to follow when I'm with him. I'm 37, 5'-3". I'm a mom of 2 and a gramma of 1 with another due soon. I go to work to have some peace! Anyway, here I am.

Welcome chipdog!! I think this thread is going to be a huge help for all of us!! And congrats on the new grandbaby....when they arrive!!!
Hey returning Ladies and Hi to CHIPDOG, Welcome!
So excited to get home and see that you logged in and posted your loss for the week! Fantastic JOB!!! I remember becoming so frustrated with another group I had joined where everyone disappeared and there was no communication other than weight posts!
This Week we have lost a cumulative 6.5 Pounds! Great WORK!
So, we all know that the key to losing weight is more than just doing it, we need motivation and suggestions to help out our success.
I think we all have more than one factor in common, and I think one that we all are truely focused on is getting below that 200 lb mark....what a frustrating number. I got close- to 203 and it was a dream come true. I found that in my last attempt to lose weight (after my first child) I plateaued at 213 for a long time.
We will be a fantastic group together!
Good luck through the weekend, and PLEASE- eat a few pieces of Halloween Candy- you will love it and burn the calories, NO problem!
Welcome chipdog! Congrats on the loss, every ounce counts toward a pound! Congrats on the new grandbaby when he/she comes!
I am definitely going to eat a few pieces of my favorite Halloween candy - cream pumpkins and candy corn mix!!!!
Okay- I bombed Yesterday, Big time, LOL. But I did good on Halloween!
So, my idea- I'm jumping on my elliptical right now. 4 days of good exercise and good eating will make up for my splurge yesterday! And I am not going to get on the scale to see what my weight is today, because I know it will only bring me down!
I have 2 papers to write for school and a lot of reading to finish- I am going to hideout in my loft office until its done!
WISH ME LUCK!
And good luck to you guys as well! No falling off the wagon for me this time around!
Lol..I bombed yesterday too Morgan. Like you I did good on Halloween, but then all the extra candy laying around on yesterday....I'm getting ready to hop on the treadmill....even though I bombed, I still had a calorie deficit for the day, but I feel super bloated today... the splurge combined with TTOM. Good luck on those papers!
Good Morning All!! I had a rough weekend of lots of good food in front of me. But both Sat and Sun my hubby and I took at least a 2 mile walk with the dog. So, I do not feel like a complete loser. I did over eat, but I believe one hard night of working out will take care of the weekend. Plus, my hubby is completely back on board with me...so that should help...healthy dinners and a partner to go to the gym with.
It is a start of a new week everyone!! Lets make it another strong one!! Good Luck Morgan with your papers! Hope you got them done! Kristi
Hey Ladies!
I am scared to get on the scale tomorrow morning. I had a weak moment and got on the scale in the middle of the week and it said I gained back my 2 pounds. I know that weight fluctuates through the week and it can take a few days to drop the weight from a day of splurging, but I am still worried. I didn't work out as much as I wanted, I am on may way towards my monthly vistit from AUNT Flo, boo hoo. But, its a week of determination to continue with this goal, because I want to, so I am going to. Oh, and I treated myself- I chopped my hair!
Wahhooo- hopefully the steak and sweet potatoes I ate for dinner digest quickly so tomorrows am weight is acceptable!
I would love to join your group and do Friday weighins. My name is Lindsay. I am 31 years old and have 4 kids. I work full time and go to school, working on my MS degree.
My current weight as of today 228.
10% goal 205
Goal weight 150
Ok, I will enter my weight in the morning, but I don't know if it will change from today. Good luck ladies.
Lindsay
Hi ladies!
Welcome to the group Lindsay! I've got 4 kids too:)![]()
Well, TTOM just ended a few days ago. Normally the water retention would have drained by now, but the splurge on the Halloween candy is causing it to stick around longer. The good news is that I know it is not true weight gain because I maintained a calorie deficit everyday, despite the splurges and still exercised. But I will definitely think twice about splurging on sweets around Thanksgiving and Christmas. Halloween was the first major Holiday since I started in April where I slipped and didn't practice moderation. I think what went wrong is that I normally don't keep a lot of sweets in the house- only the stuff that I can control like pudding, Special K bars, (I eat ice-cream on the weekends). But somehow having all that chocolate around woke the sleeping beast
The good thing about the upcoming holidays is that I am going to relatives' houses, so it will be easier for me to practice moderation. Well....lesson learned.
Hey Morgan....you really should post a picture of your new haircut!
Let's face it we are going to have some mis-steps- but like you said Morgan, we have to keep going!

Have a great day ladies!!
Good Morning Everyone! TGIF!
Well, I had a great week of working out and eating healthy...until last night. I had volleyball with the gang and ended up having a couple beers. Then to follow hubby and I got Chinese food. Granted I had a lighter choice than usual, it is still sitting with me. Yesterday I was down to 225.8, but this morning is a different story. I know that the weight fluctuates and yesterdays weight may not have even been accurate, but I was hoping to be a little lower this week. But at least I am still lower than last Friday...not by much though.
